You are a FRAUD (Response To Kevin Thompson’s Event)

see concerning last night’s live training

The response was overwhelming positive,
except for this one email Kevin forwarded to
me below:

Kevin, if I had known I would waste 2 hours
of my time and telephone expense

to be spammed for a deal, instead of your
initial “come-on of learning some way to make
$, NOW!” I would have said, NO!!

You are a FRAUD who took 36 minutes to “warm
up” before you very loosely and sloppily
began to follow YOUR notes outline,— with
PABLUM!!!

this email:

Mom:

Hi Babe!

I listened with much interest and finally
think I understand the power of the
“internet” and how it can turn my business
around. 

Don’t misunderstand, I have read your
material for years, but sometimes  it takes
us “ol’ folk” longer for the tech stuff to
sink in so to speak.

Also I’ll be going day and night on this if I
choose to get it to get it up and running to
start generating business and income ASAP. 

I’m excited with the thought that once you
learn it you know it and things only get
better, but I believe I can do this. 

So give me a call today.  I enjoyed hearing
you and Kevin so excited about sharing on

Yesterday’s debate was heated and many points
of view on the concept of being ripped of
were shared - tomorrow I’ll give you my two
cent on it all, but today I want to show you
how to turn your rip off into money in your
pocket.

First let me share a insight from yesterday
that may change your perspective on a few

in less than 24 hours after sending one

In that same time within 10 minutes our live
debate started with the first piece of
feedback on the blog. Within 1 day 57
people had weighed in.

People ask me all the time “Daegan, how do I
get people to pay attention to what I’m
saying if I’m just starting, if I don’t have
a big name, if I’m not making big money?”

The answer is looking right back at you right
now. (Do you see it?)

The way to get a person’s attention is to
speak their language, identify with them, to
talk about what’s on the top of their mind.

Now I’ve Seen Everything . . .

For the person who thinks they’ve seen
everything . . .

Sit back, relax, and take a gander at this
short happening and afterwards, let me know if
you’ve ever seen this one before.

Because I’d never seen anything like this . . .

So there I was, sitting in my little home
office, typing away as usual as I look at the
clock. It reads 6:41 pm. I’m late! I call Kim
and tell her I’m on the way to pick her up,
then take a quick shower, not even realizing
for a second what I’m about to witness.

30 minutes later we arrive at Duffy’s Irish
pub to meet up with a few friends. We get a
couple appetizers (Sliders - 4 small
hamburgers) before going over.

8:15 pm hits and we make our move over to the
9:30 Club here in DC. We wait what seems like
forever before I ask the dumbest question of
the night “What time is this thing gonna
start?”

“Duhh, Daegan you’re at the 9:30 Club, what
time do you think?”

I’m silenced and sit back quietly to wait for
the show to begin.

9:30 pm hits and about 8 minutes later it
all starts. The whole crew comes on stage and I
have to wipe my eyes because I don’t believe
what I’m seeing. It seemed like there were
20+ people up there.

And then a double take, “Is that what I think
it is?” I quiet my mind and focus in.

“Now I’ve seen everything” I think to myself
. . .

There, right before my eyes, was the funniest
and coolest thing I’d ever seen in my life. A
60+ year old man holding a guitar, singing,
wearing . . . a diaper.

Now I thought this was all a gimmick, but two
hours later . . . there he was still playing
his guitar . . . fully comfortable in his
skin and his grown man diaper.

This sight made me really reflect . . .

George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic had
been “getting it funky” for over 30 years and
here they were, probably on the 2000+ show,
loving every minute of their performance just
as much as we were.

And I thought . . .

“That’s the answer isn’t it?” Do what you love,
and love what you do and neither it or you
ever get old.

So many people get into a home business to
never work again, but the best of the bunch
quickly realize that it’s not about not
working, it’s about setting a mission and
path for your life that isn’t work.

It’s a mission.

George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic’s
mission is “get funky” and put on a good
show. It’s timeless. All members of the band
were definitely in their twilight years, but
you’d never know by the way they performed.

What’s your mission? Once you’ve got it. No
longer are you working for “the man” you’re
living your message vibrantly playing at what
others would call work, and who knows . . .

Maybe 30 years from now, you’ll feel so
comfortable and young doing it, you’ll wake up
one day and strap on an old man (or woman)
diaper and play your heart out like my new
friend. (Or maybe not)

Either way, set your path by your mission,
and like the wise “George Clinton and crew”
never a day again in your life will you work.

Last night we held our first in a series of
webinars, which I have to say from the
feedback, was a smashing success. I told
everyone I was going to give up the goods and
that’s what I did.

Taco Bell, Kinko’s, And The Story Of My Most Embarrassingly Stupid Failure?

I was driving home from grabbing a bite to
eat at good old Taco Bell last night, while
doing that I was listening to a new training
series I picked up on direct marketing and
well . . .

The guy was talking about free ways to drive
traffic online from offline and one of the
techniques he brought conjured up one of the
most embarrassing moments in my home business
career.

I started laughing out loud and shaking my
head in shame for what I once did. I was
sitting a stop light and the guy in the car
next to must have thought I was crazy.

If ever you think you’ve done something dumb
in the name of your business good old Daegan
been there too.

See, back when I knew nothing more effective
to do than buy and call leads I started to
grow restless for my lack of progress and
growing credit card debt. I figured I was
gonna take a stand.

If no one was going to teach me anything
better to do I’d do it myself. What did do?
Well it started with a Google search for how
to generate leads. I came a page that talked
about using “drop cards” to bring in the
leads.

I looked great. Testimonials of people
handing out these little business card sized
ads getting massive results. If they could do
it then so could I do.

I marched my silly butt down to Kinko and
printed up a few thousand of these neon green
suckers. They said “Looking for additional
income? - followed with my website.”

The price was about $200 bucks which was
quite a spend for me back in those days, but
I again went ahead and put in on the card.

Two days later I had my “drop cards” ready to
start bringing in the recruits. I started
placing them on car windows in my
neighborhood with excitement of the flood of
leads to come.

Two hours later . . .

200 drop card blowing the breeze. When I took
the train downtown I would leave a few
behind, I don’t think a sole looked at those
things . . .

The embarrassing part is, I just opened my
closet a couple minutes ago and there where
the remaining 1500 of those suckers starring
me the face reminding me of grand past.

Desperation drives you to do strange things.
If you think I haven’t tried all that crazy
stuff that doing work a lick, if you think I
was born with a silver spoon, ohh how wrong
you are.

What a looser, but at least I can take solace
in the fact that I tried. I didn’t have the
guidance I need, but sure enough I wasn’t
giving up.

When people ask me why I would give away the
exact resources I use to drive traffic to my
website right now. The answer is simple . . .

I remember being out there with the drive and
not the direction. I remember feeling lost,
alone, silly, frustrated, and plain out dumb.

I remember second guessing myself - “I must
be smarter than this? Why I can’t I make it
work if it’s so easy and duplicable?” and I
remember having no one really to turn to and
how isolated that was.

And well . . . I don’t want you to have to go
through that part of the success curve like I
did. In fact, I’d like to leapfrog you to the
good part as fast as I can. Why? Because
that’s what I wish someone would have done
for me.

The spots in my special little insiders club
are dwindling. Now that you my WHY behind it
maybe that’ll shed some new light on things
for you.

embarrassing myself and it sucks. I don’t

What I Learned From An Alaskan Fisherman

I was speaking with one of my good friends, a
guy by the name of Kevin yesterday, who
actually held the deadliest jobs on earth as
an Alaskan Fisherman, and shared something
with me that I had to pass along.

Kevin’s story is one of the most amazing
stories you’ll ever hear of success in the
home business arena. The guy, with no college
education, decided to do the next best thing
after a stint in the military . . .

He was advised by one of his close friends
that the best way for a person to make good
money without “credentials” was to go out and
be an king crab fisherman out on the Bearing
Sea. Not knowing any better he decided it was
a good idea . . .

For seven years, Kevin toughed it out and
made good money out there on the open oceans,
but it all came to a screeching halt when he
almost got carried overboard by a rogue wave.

In a moment of clarity the guy realized he
was putting his life on the line for money
and it just wasn’t worth it anymore. He made
the decision to never do it again, which
wasn’t a decision without consequence.

See. . . .

Kevin was married at the time and when he
told his wife that he was quitting fishing she
gave him an ultimatum. Either he goes out
there and brings home the money or she leaves
him.

He chose life and his wife left him. . .

What was he gonna do now?

Well, he decided to start his own business
and plopped $80,000 down over the first year
to do it and at the end of it all he was still
living hand to mouth.

You’d think after such hardships I guy would
get depressed and turn to alcoholism or just
generally give up on life, but because of a
piece of advice that was given to him by a
close friend Kevin carried on.

What was the advice?

His friend said “Kevin, as long as you don’t
give up their ain’t no way you’ll ever fail.”

He took this advice, took his business
online, and now a few years later he’s doing
very well for himself doing exactly what he
loves to do.

The reason I share all this with is because
when Kevin relayed his story and his friends
simple advice. I drew strength from it.

No matter where you are in your business
there will be hurdles. Things will be tough
at time, but if you can just carry your
passion, your belief in yourself, and your
business past all roadblocks their ain’t no
way you can fail.

I pass this along because I know that this
simple advice will find it’s way to right
person and lend strength in the same way it
lent strength to me yesterday.

If you carry your passion on your sleeve,
give all you’ve got, and just keep on keeping
on there isn’t a chance in the world that
that vision of success you see right now if
you take second to close your eyes and really
visualize won’t become reality.

Dare the be greater than your greatest
dreams, take bigger chances than you think
you can, lay it all on the line and take to
it. And if leads online are what are holding

Once You Go Black You NEVER Go Back

You know the saying right?

“Once you go black you never go back.”

Well, it’s 100% true, but it is and it isn’t
what you’re thinking, so let me explain.

I was having a conversation with one of my
good friends who’s doing well online in his
home business - regularly pulling in $50,000+
per month. It took him less than a year to
get there.

I’ve actually been trying to convince him to
do a little call with us because his story is
like nothing I’ve ever heard.

Why?

Because he used the internet to do it, but he
did it completely using free traffic and
because of that second part I think what he’s
got share is incredibly valuable.

I’ll update you on my progess on that, but I’m
pushing for it.

Back to the story at hand . . .

I was talking to him and he told me about how
one of marketing associates, after learning
how to use the internet effectively, was
offered a mid six figure income to work for a
large corporation updating their online
marketing systems.

The guy didn’t even think twice about it. He
said no.

Why? He was making a good living online, and
no big salary will ever replace the freedom
of running your own business on your own
schedule when you want and how you want.

I remember myself in a somewhat similar
situation. I had a job that I knew had a
limited timeline before they gave me
the pink slip. The day came and I didn’t even
care because I had things rolling pretty
steadily at about $25,000 a month online.

They gave me the slip and I said “See ya,
wouldn’t want to be ya!”

At this point I’m totally unemployable and
it feels great.

Running your own business changes something
in you that makes you finally realize no
matter what the job, your time and freedom is
far more valuable.

So it’s true . . .

Once you go black you never go back.

Once you get out of the red, out of debt, and
your business starts pulling in the duckets,
in the black, your life is forever altered
and you just can’t go back.

Sitting at my mastermind meeting this weekend
I was wondering this myself.

See that’s a huge number, and even when I say
it here in this context it’s a little hard
for me to believe, but the true answer behind
how will do you well to listen in on . . .

As I was listening in to the discussion down
there in beautiful Tampa Florida, my coach
started talking about one of his mentors, a
man by the name of Dan Gable, and for most
non wrestlers the name won’t ring a bell, but
do a quick Google search on the name and
you’ll see he’s a legend.

He is THE most winningest wrestler ever. He’s
still alive, well, and coaching to this day,
and my coach said he remembered most vividly
a lesson Dan gave him long ago about the
very question posed here:

“The person that wins the most wrestling
matches is the person who’s on the mat more.”

Simply put but powerful in application.

See . . .

When I look back on my on path thus far the
ONLY reason I am where I am and you will
reach your own pinnacle of success is because
you put in more time where it counts.

And I can here it now . . .

“But I’m just starting I just want to learn
the basics, I don’t know if I want take this
online business thing to the millionaire
level.”

My response is . . .

“Fine, but you limit yourself greatly.”

The immortal Jim Rohn once said “If you have
a choice, why not choose to be the best?”

And that’s really what it comes down to isn’t
it?

A choice.

Do you love what you do? Are you willing to
be out there doing learning, testing, getting
better when the rest are complaining about
what didn’t work?

You see, there will always be drama in the
pursuit of your vision of greatness. If not,
what would be the point?

I mean . . .

Is it really a touchdown in a football game
if someone hands you the football on the one
yard line while no one else is out on the
field and you simply walk in for the score?

There is no victory there. The game is only
played when there are opposing sides.

The only difference between football,
wrestling, and the game you play is, in the
game of wealth the opponent is that little
voice inside that says “You can’t do it. Just
quit while you’re ahead.”

Silence that voice. Love the game you play.
Play more than anyone else. And the only
result will be you winning.

It really is simple when you get right down
to it.

If there is one reason I can say that if I
can earn $85,172+ in a month that you can to,
it’s because I know if you love what you do
and do it a bunch all the rest don’t matter.

You’ll play to win. You may loose at first,
but in the end you’ll play to win and you’ll
do nothing but win.

The Hottest Place On Earth . . . Maybe?

I was walking down the street yesterday
afternoon here in Washington DC on
Pennsylvania avenue. The weather was
fantastic, it was about 86 degrees and that’s
when I saw it.

I couldn’t believe my eyes so had to go and
take a closer look. It really was what I
thought and just when I thought it couldn’t
get any hotter.

I walked in and I was greated by “Mutha”
“Brutha” was manning the cash register, but
it didn’t matter “Mutha” had every taken care
of . . .

She greeted me with a warm smile and asked
had I ever been there before. I said “No.
Can’t say that I have”, there were others in
the shop, but she decided to give me the
grand tour.

She pointed to the shelf and said these are from
the south and as I looked at the shelf I
couldn’t help but thinking “Wow . . . I had
no idea there were so many.”

Then she took me to the next shelf and said
“These are from the Caribbean.” I told her
that I had actually taken a trip to St. Lucia
not to long ago, and I had taken a fond
liking to . . .

She said “Which one?” And in a second, I saw
it. I didn’t think you could get that
anywhere but St. Lucia, but there it was
sitting right there on “Mutha’s” shelf.

Well . . .

At least now I know where I can pick up some
more when I run out.

The shop had a grown much busier since I
walked in and “Mutha” had to attend to another
customer. She said “Take a look around and if
you have any question you know where to find
me.”

I said “Thank you” and began to wander . . .

I couldn’t stop thinking to myself “A whole
shop of this? Wow this is amazing!”

They even had a novelty section called
“Adult” of which many of the names I wouldn’t
say here in good taste.

I spent about 20 minutes there, and by the
time I left I knew two things . . .

1. I’ll never forget it.

2. I had found the hottest place in
Washington DC.

I turned back around and looked at the sign
and thought “An entire shop devoted to hot
sauce, who ever would have thought.”

The marketer in me realized, and here’s the
network marketing lesson . . .

The biggest mistake in the world is to be all
things to all people. The best position for a
business is to specialize, to have specific
knowledge about, and to serve a particular
customer base.

You do this and you not only provide better
service, but you become quite unforgettable

For instance . . .

There was one woman in the shop there with
me that just kept going on and on about
how great the place was. It was close to
her heart. She ain’t sayin about Wal-Mart.

So many network marketers and online business
in general go wrong by trying to be generic.
You know, that same script they tell us to
read to each prospect sort of thing . . .

It never worked for me, until I specialized.

I wanted to be an internet network marketer.

I acquired the knowledge and experience
necessary to do so, and it was only then when
I had clarity of focus. A true personal
perspective and personality to speak from
that things started really fly and “A King”
was born. (Laughing a little)

See most network marketers get it wrong when
they say you gotta be just like everyone
else. They mistake being generic with being
duplicable . . . (They are FAR from the
same thing.)

Generic = Boring

Duplication = Improved Results For All

The biggest truth you’ll come to see is that
when you and your team mates shine in your
own lights a massive team you will all grow.

Why?

Because that’s REAL marketing at it’s finest
and it’s the EXACT opposite of the marketing
suicide so many of are taught to fail with.

So whether you’re a little boutique shop
specializing in hot sauce or you’re a one
person home business, remember BE about
something, stand out, and not only will you
get noticed and remembered but you’ll get
results like crazy.
