Life Or Death On The Bering Sea

Last night we held a very special event on
creating “Automatic Income Systems” online
which I was extremely excited to host. One of
my own teachers, Kevin Thompson, selflessly
not only shared his own success strategies
for creating automated online business but
shared a few things that I know for a fact
were hard for him to say.

Sometimes I think we can assume that the life
of those who “figure it out” for themselves
have always been smooth sailing when most
often that’s not the case.

Perfect example is what was discussed on last
nights event. Kevin is about the last guy
anyone would assume could or should be
successful in an online business. He’s a guy
who never went to college, never got a “good
job”, and was never given a thing.

His story began with him joining the military
and then soon after taking on THE deadliest
job’s one the planet. A job that almost
killed him.

If you’ve ever seen the TV show “The
Deadliest Catch” you have a good idea of what
Kevin did. He was advised by a friend that a
person in his position could make a killing
as an Alaskan Fisherman, and naively Kevin
agreed.

He worked 36 hour days with only 6 hours of
sleep between shifts for up to two months at
a time in below freezing wet and windy
conditions hauling the ships catches.

One day this job almost took his life. He
heard the Captain bellow out “Kevin Watch
Out!”. Without a second to brace himself the
ship was hit with a mammoth wave which sent
Kevin hurdling across the deck.

Injured, and to this day still bearing the
scars of that close call, Kevin recalled
being grateful because he knew had that wave
carried him just a foot higher he would have
been hurled into the cold waters of the
Bering Sea where death was assured.

This experience made Kevin realize that he
was literally putting his life on the line for
a paycheck. No matter what angle you look
at it it ain’t worth it.

He went home and told his wife that we was
going to quit his job and she said “Kevin,
you’ve never gone to college, you’re a blue
collar worker, and you need to keep doing
what you’re doing.”

Kevin didn’t agree and followed along with
his plan anyway and as a result his wife
divorced him.

Today, Kevin is not only living life on his
terms without putting his life on the line,
he’s doing it working 3 hours a month in his
little online “mold” business.

Things were not all rosy, even those closest
too him thought he was crazy, yet he knew
what was best.

At the beginning, all he had was an idea of
where he wanted to be. No plan, just an idea.

If you have that same “idea” never give up.
You hold the same power to cause quantum
shifts in your life and business if and only
if you never give up.

Ron, the question you pose is only one you can answer. Some insight . . . If you even have the thought in your mind that you won’t see things through then there must be something holding you back. Search your mind to find the mental roadblock. Identify it vividly as a picture and see yourself breaking through it. What has always helped me get the most out of my efforts and expenses is visualizing the success to come. Seeing myself putting all I can out there to make it happen and having a ton of fun in the process. Why is being successful online important for you? For me it was creating enough income to pay for my younger brothers college education through my network marketing business. What’s your big reason why? Once you find it and it’s truly big enough you’ll find there will be nothing that can get in your way. The secret is your reason for success must be bigger than all possible obstacles that could possible come your way - both internally and externally. Once you have this, the rest is easy.
