I was first introduced to MLM when I was around 20 and the concept blew my mind. It was an offline company and I was really excited about doing it, but my only problem was lack of knowledge of the business and not knowing how to recruit in the real world. Shortly quitting after that it was always in the back of my mind and wanted to get back into this business and find success with it somehow.

For years I searched the Internet for every kind of way to make money online. I ordered every e-book and course, but never took any action. One day I finally decided to get my own website and joined an Internet network marketing company. For two years I tried unsuccessfully to recruit and make money, but I was not about to give up.

I have been following your articles and advice the whole time, but even though I knew it was what I should be doing, I never took action on it.

I finally decided to join one more company and give it one last shot. This time I would learn from every thing that I did wrong and put my all into it and for the first time I am seeing real results and getting signups into my primary business daily and building a list at the same time.

Now I have my own blog and teach my team all the things that I have learned and people are coming to me instead of me having to hunt for new prospects. It's really not that complicated if you just stop doing things that are not working for you and putting your energy into things that produce results.

I am an Australian baby boomer, who has had a rich and blessed life. While I haven't always considered myself blessed, I was made to realise just how envious my life had been when I suffered injury and clinical depression a few years ago. Howdy, I started with this internet thing not long ago, however; just like with the paralysis that is robbing me of my physical motion{hands first} I just keep putting one foot in front of the other every day, otherwise I lose! I've suffered through many medical problems{life threating}yet I'm still here! As with my paralysis,if I stop moving, that movement won't come back? Just like life, there are many ups and downs, maybe more downs, however; if thats all you focus on, then your doomed! Negativity draws more negativity, and it becomes like a snowball rolling downhill!!! It gains momentum and gets bigger and bigger and never stops! I survived Leukemia 15 years ago, and what I learned from that expe1rience was everyday you have to grab just one little thing thats positive, and focus on that, and I attribute that to being alive today, after I was told I only had a 10% chance of living! As the old saying goes "hope springs eternal", and how true that is!!! Thats my 2cents worth

I started reading up on internet marketing since October last year and only found out about you in December! Seriously, I didn't know how much crap I've got myself into for spending so much on the stuff just to find out what is Internet Marketing about.

I am getting married in late 2009 and this means I'll need a lot more than I have now to fund my wedding as well as the years to come. In November 2005 I started in on my first effort at network marketing based on result fom a health supplement product that worked when an internal specialist declared he was the one and only who could help me heal couldn't. I started off using the standard family and friends angle. I was fired up and could see myself telling my boss he was fired in the very near future. I had modest(little actually) success. I tried buying leads, ordering sizzle cards, co-oping ads, holding meetings, putting business cards on business boards. One thing I didn't like was the ever increasing fact that there are a lot of unmotivated people who claim they want their own business. I realized most of these blowhards were lazy knowitalls who will probably remain just that as their lives slowly move by. I HATED calling leads because I was losing money in my business and my small income remained as such. To complicate matters, I had a regular job that I hated, as well as a boss who was a little paranoid and somehow found out I had this part-time business. One Friday afternoon I was asked to fly from Texas to California the following Monday. After I was dressed down by management and told I didn't realize how lucky I was to work for them, 3 weeks later I was fired. Having a family to support and not having any income from my part-time business I had to get a job and get one quick. It took me 5 weeks to go through the process and I was back on someones payroll. Good company, nice people, better than average opportunity to make a quarterly bonus, it was better than my previous company by a lot, but...... Getting fired shook me to my core because it was about my part-time business. So I went for a year and virtually did nothing in my part-time business. One year later, I am in the same position as before in that I have to submit call reports, target accounts, new product sales, bla bla bla. I've come across Daegan Smith and am looking at a fresh new way to make a living online in my part time business and eventually erase the part-time. Nothing changes until you seek what you want and do what it takes to get to your goal. My GOAL is to spend my time with my family earning a full time income and then beyond. What I have seen so far looks doable. I really look forward to putting into practice what Daegan has put together. I have gained my motivation back. I will seek help and guidance to help me reach my GOAL.

I started my particular business in this particular industry because I want a way to be able to run a business from anywhere in the world that has Internet access. The one thing I have learned is that the internet is similar to using direct mail for funding your advertising and marketing. The fastest way to fail in mlm is to work your warm market or cold calling leads, (people that don't want to be marketed to). The internet allows you to use pure inspiration and bring your inner heart, your ideas to the marketplace pretty much for free. The only price you pay is the sacrifice of being genuine. So many people lead with selling in this industry. Only the smart marketers lead with inspiration and value. When you lead with reciprocity and provide a ton of value for free, that is when you become a smart marketer. People only buy from people they know, they like, and they respect. I am interested in networking business. However why do you have to keep spending so much money. In the real world when seeking employment you spend nothing, absolutely nothing.In networking you spend money, read testimonals, literature which are basically repititiuos.
Many times you are being offered so call free products, however only to be told to pay a one time fee to ensure that you are serious.
The alternative to that offer should be if you can not pay I will sign you up, but when you start working I will deduct the one time fee from your earnings.This is what geniune persons who seriously wants to assist others would offer. I have been attempting to set up a passive income biz online for a few months but like a lot of others have been bombarded with rubbish & cons. I just wish to earn a reasonable income not become filthy rich. Last year I had a 2nd heart operation & this restricted the type of work I can do & as I have spent most of my life in the construction industry I now find it hard to earn a decent living. I was very impressed with you and your ideas and ways of marketing at that time and knew at some point in my life, you would really be part of my success in one way or another. I was disappointed when I realized that I was not in your downline of Success University, and at that time I could not learn your system, as far as I knew, you were only working with your own downline, which was totaly understandable at the time.

I initially had no intentions on starting an online business. As a matter of fact I literally hated the internet. I actually hired individuals in the businesses I owned to handle anything on the internet except answering emails, which I only did about every ten to fourteen days.

There are times in life however, in which circumstances determine the outcome and journey for our future. By 2005 I was under 40, single and worth over a million dollars with a successful business specializing in real estate money making strategies with an up and growing seminar business. However, by the end of 2006 the real estate market in Vegas had completely collapsed and my business was crumbling like the recent implosion of the historic Stardust hotel on the strip. In 2007 I attempted several damage control tactics to no avail. By the summer I was bankrupt, depressed and out of business.

The next several months were somewhat of a blur all I really remember is lying in my oversized chair watching endless hours of television. That was normally the highlight of my day. I didn’t have the energy to help myself. One day while on the internet trying to help my mother find work who had been displaced in the closing of one of my businesses I came across an email for data entry workers. I opened it to see if it was something my mom could do, it ironically ended up being an ad for Success University. Had the email came to me as an online internet business opportunity I would have immediately deleted it. I only opened it as a means to help my mother.

I have been working on building a home based business for a number of years ranging from the traditional cold calling Network Marketing to online versions and have read anything that comes across as sounding of interest. Unfortunately I have spent cash that I do not have believing in the hype and in all cases been left wondering where I went wrong, I follow all there instructions to the letter spend money on all the recommended programs only to make someone else rich. I have taken your advice finally after reading your emails for quite sometime and have placed my faith in your advise which sounds positive.

So far I have set up all the marketing campaigns recommended and now its time to track the results. I don't expect things to change overnight but will work toward getting the result, I have come to far to throw the towel in and do believe in network marketing as the best business model to build a lifestyle for me and my team. I, am an aspriring network marketing junkie without a company but in the process of linking with a special mortgage company which has mlm linked into it to enable me to create a downline.Your methods just makes a lot of sence.It's been my desire to make a comfortible six figure income for along time. Have purchased leads, flyers have been used,tape series etc.,like so many others but I, will not stop until the income is in place on the internet.I, like the idea of having my business on Autopilot.

Daegan, here is my story that I would like you to read.
I am desperate of making money fast as I am approaching bankruptcy after the horrible divorce (Canadian law is helping women to rob husbands and take their money no matter how women fulfill their wife's duties).
So I decided to start my Internet business to get out of debt.
I bought about 10 products from ClickBank and most of them are clones of Multiple Stream Of Income - short description of the ways how to earn money on Internet. It did not help because every stream required more detailed information, technique and tips which nobody of marketers wanted to share.
Then I signed with some e-coaching partner of Rich Jerk and they gave me just one site-builder with tutorials and hot-line for $4000 (similar things I can find from $200 to $400) and they don't want to return me money back.
I struggled with the process of assembling all my pieces of marketing knowledge together.
Then I entered very good MLM program but have not be able to sign anybody so far.
What I need to know from marketers is the shortest step by step way to success with little money in the pocket so I can avoid bankruptcy. The problem here is that marketers promote their own products that are just pieces of the chain and not in the right sequence. I would like to see this whole roadmap with detailed instructions on each step and references to best products if required. I need honest info because 90% of info is lies.
But at first I would like to have some temporarily solutions how to make money as fast as possible and constantly with very little money down.
Now I am approaching my bankruptcy with $107K debt on my credit cards with no perspective to avoid it.
I know - there will be no miracle here. And I am ready to work hard in order to pay off my debt.
I need just SIMPLE REAL step-by-step PROFITABLE process of earning money (starting from $100 a day) to get started with my internet business.
I have some ideas for Internet business but it's all about time and money that I don't have.
I can understand logic very well and see some logical disadvantages of sales pages or books.
I can trade my skills for help in establishing my own Internet business that really works.

I got your request email late last nite & I thought I'd fill you in today, a little about me. I'm 47 years young & was born & raised on an amish farm. Boy do I know what hard work is, but it never hurt nobody,Right? I must've been entrepenuerial back then already because I was always looking to earn additional income. I had my first experience with MLM & contrary to what everybody says I considered myself to be successful. I got my six just like it was required but was unable to motivate them into doing what I was doing. I was however earning checks even though small it was a check. Then life got in the way like it sometimes does & so I quit. Afterwards I realized that I fell in love with getting checks in the mail. So after I sorta got life out of the way I started looking again & found what I thought was another MLM & had told myself not gonna do another one. Once I took the time to understand the plan I realized it wasn't what I thought it was.
And so I went to work & started putting things into action & in short made more money in 5 months then I did in the MLM that I was in, in 5 years. I have been with this company now for 3 years & did pretty good the first 2 & then took kind of a vacation this last year. Yes I know it was a bad choice but hey I didn't quit. I am a procrastinator & a bad one at that. But I am starting to get things rolling again & I know I did it once I can & will do it again. I was on Kevin's call the other nite & took down a lot of good information & I have been on some of your calls also & get good info as well. Its what a person does with the information that counts. What I find a lot is people want the money but don't want to do the work. What planet are these people on? I have also helped other people to a level of earning checks & they still quit. So I realized its obviously not the money that will keep people in the business but the desire to change the situation that they are presently in & if they aren't ready to do that then I don't think there is a whole lot that a person can do for them.(correct me if I'm wrong).So here is where I'm at right now, I am always looking to improve & grow myself so I can take myself to the next level & then will be able to take others to a higher level also if they so choose. I hope nothing here is taken as complaining because I'm not, I'm also not making excuses. I'm at where I'm at because of me & nobody else. It is my business not my sponsor's. I do not expect my sponsor to do the work for me, I have to do it.

I am trying a to start a home based business to off set the difference between my pension and what I was earning while working full-time. I just retired after working in the wholesale bakery business for 30 years. I have built a couple of websites and am trying some affiliate marketing. I can see this is going to take some time and effort to master all of this. But having been in sales all these years, persistence is something I am not short on :)-
As long as I'm trying new things, I thought I'd throw networking into the mix also. What do they say about cooking pasta? Throw a little up against the wall and see if it sticks. I guess that is my current approach and it seems to be working! Whatever you do, don't give up!

My story? Well, I quit my job in the auto industry when they offered a really nice buyout. I had already been planning my future for several years and am making progress. The buyout was perfect timing for me. I am here, on the net, because I choose the internet and MLM as part of my multiple streams of income. I have a plan and so far it is working. Lately I have been hitting some awful road bumps, but nothing like challenges to help you learn. Enough with the challenges already! I am ready to earn! :) And, I guess like anything new, you go through that initiation period of learning. The internet is no different. I will say it is cheaper than learning real estate. I just started almost a couple of months ago and I thank the powers that be that I was guided to people like Deagan and Jonathan. I had no idea there was so much to learn, it's another world entirely. My experience with the internet is email, google search and favorite websites. Needless to say I am totally lost right now!! And like everyone else-so sick and tired of the scammers with worthless material or support that never answers emails or phones. By the way are there any mac users out there besides me?

Thank you for the quality you always bring to the table. About one year ago I followed my upline leader to the online world. We started with a system that was very distracting and confusing. During this time I found your page. For awhile I just stayed on your list gleaming all the good information I could from your wisdom, (funny you are about 1 year younger than me). Toward the end of 2007 I decided that I needed to try something fresh. (My upline leader had left the online system months before.) That is when I bought a couple of your products and started using your system. To be honest I am not rolling in the cash yet, but the results keep rolling in. I have made more progress since the first of the year than I made all of last year together. My marketing skills are improving everyday. Leads keep flowing my way.

It is funny that for some reason I have always known I was meant for success. To me MLM has always been the best vehicle for getting there. Now I have a husband, two little girls, and one on the way that I must achieve my goals for so I can spend the maximum amount of time with them.

I have been in the online business and network marketing since last year. My interest in this type of business comes after a year ago while looking for oppurtunity to increase my income and to have my own business. After watched a tv show shown a successful story about one of the internet marketer in my country. The reason to have my own business is to feel the freedom and be my own boss. I know that any business industries is not easy to do therefore a constant motivation and a mentor is necessary. The very most important thing is not to give up.

I love Daegan's emails. They are always very positive and uplifting. I am so unbeleivably dumb though when it comes to all of this internet marketing stuff that even with watching his videos etc. I just don't get it. I wish with all my heart I would have been one of those people he talked aboutin his last email I got where he actually set them up personally, got the traffic going for them and got them making money. I am like most. I have tried a ton of scams and lost a TON of money before finding the business I'm in now in the Health and Wellness industry. I would love for a guy like Daegan, to take me under his wing, start me off so I'm making money and then let me loose. I don't know a lot about this stuff yet, but I am the most teachable guy on the planet, I am willing to learn, and usually I am a very fast learner. It's just this whole gettign traffic to your site thing has me very frustrated. All I seem to do is spend money and get no results, even with systems like this one. My story is I was an inner city cab driver, so like you I was used to the hard life. The hours and stress made me ill and the hospital let the authorities know of my predicament so my driving licence was taken from me. That time in my life was ..... a learning curve.
I swore no one would ever have power over my life ever again.
I saw an advert in the paper and my mlm career was starting within the health and nutrition business. Great. I joined and because of the products, understanding collegues, and time management and leverage I made myself well again.
I began the business from a bike - you know the feeling. I have cycled 80 miles to a 1-1 and the prospect did not bother to turn up even though I had phoned to confirm. So I went prospecting and got some new names. "There was a time".
I had a website last year but got 3 hits so I am having a better site built as we speak and you will help me gain knowledge and convidence to take things further.
If there is anyone out there who has prospects on there list who for some reason do not want what they are offering would they please let me know, we can exchange chicken lists, we might get lucky.
My goals for this year are to be better at online mlm and get my a downline to explode. Please help.

My mlm career started when I was very young and inexperienced. I had a dream and no warm market or money. Back then, nobody was even using traditional advertising methods. It was all word of mouth, make a list and have all of your friends say no. I was not successful until years later when I learned to use ads to recruit.(before internet) Within a few months I had thousands in my downline and the company folded from poor management. I did some consulting and developed compensation plans for a couple of companies and then a company opened with a product that people absolutely loved and the entry cost was low enough for anyone to get involved. My downline exploded and I have met some great people. I learned to work as a team and your group can move mountains. It's all about the team. I am very sad when I see alot of the companies out there that I know will not be here next year. I have dealt with owners that are crooks and have seen some very shady things happen. The best thing that I like or get out of the Internet business is that it is challenging. Although it appears to be for everyone and a get rich scheme, this is so far from the truth. You have to be well learned and really work at it to be successful. That is why I have great respect for people who are successful in the Internet Marketing Business.

Growing up in the 70's I was taught to get a job and work hard. well, that's exactly what I've done, raised 9 children, on the last one, and have no plan for me. I think I forgot about "me". Now, divorced for 7 1/2 years, gave him everything (if you can believe that!) and started over at 40. Well, I have not gotten anywhere I wanted to be and continue to struggle. I know that I am an intelligent woman with the ability to learn. I have always said that "life" is an education from the day we enter this world until the day we leave. The world has changed a lot since then and I feel that it's time to make even more changes for myself, way past time!

Daegan, I have steadily watched the emails come into my box, reading them and then thinking, "what to do". I have experienced so much of the "internet rip off" stuff and am so frustrated. I have health products that I truely believe in. I use these products and have done research about them also. This company is very young, out of the U.S., Florida actually. Not many know about these products and the impact they are having on people's health. As I am sure you are aware there are so many health and wellness products out there it's crazy! Not knowing about this Company should be considered a sin! :) Just kidding... Really though, it has been a very long time since I've seen anything like the natural cellular defense and the many other products this Company makes. I have had my website for over a year now. I have been marketing one on one. When I see someone in the pharmacy isle of Wal-Mart and see them looking at the vitamins I stop and give them a card, let them know about the purity of these products and have yet to get anywhere. I have found that even when you truely believe in something and know that it is real, very few even take the time to even check it out, much less consider trying it.

I guess my problem is that I want a better quality of life and "never giving up" is key but money is a problem to pay for marketing. I have been searching for a long time on finding a way to expose these wonderful products and build myself a great income. When I bought into this Company, I was also told that it sells itself. Well, no it doesn't. there are many wonderful things out there but it does not sell itself. I continue to keep my head up and keep pushing forward but am now at a loss of what to do. I'm tired of manual labor and running everyone else's businesses and I make nothing for all my effort. Being stuck in a 9 - 6 job, monday through saturday is not exactly what I had planned for myself 30 years ago. Nonetheless, here I am, doing what I hate doing the most. I don't clearly understand the concept of the internet marketing and feel that's because everything I have gotten into only gives you part of what you need to know for a fee of course and then you have to continue spending and spending (what you don't really have) and still wind up with nothing. I think this is so awesome that you're letting everyone tell their story! My online business grew from a passion of mine - books. I have loved reading and collecting books since I was very young. Who knew that one day I could actually make some money from this hobby?! Like a lot of the other people on this blog, I was feeling very overwhelmed (and confused) with all of the marketing information I was being sent. It wasn't until I slowed down and went one step at a time, that I started to see more growth. I started my website and when I didn't get instant visitors, I began to panic and start checking into more and more money making opportunities that would help me make "faster money". (Actually, that's how I got onto your e-mail list. I stayed because I feel you give out a lot of good information for any online business, not just MLM.) I checked into real estate, MLM, e-books, affiliate marketing...you name it. The problem is I wasn't doing a good job at anything. I was spreading myself too thin. When I realized that collectible books were something I actually enjoyed doing (and what I had originally set out to do) I un-subscribed from all of the mailing lists that were distracting me from my original goal and focused on what I already knew. Now I'm taking it one step at a time. I wanted to learn how to set up a blog, so I researched blogs (and talked to alot of twenty-somethings who couldn't believe someone would need to be taught how to blog ;) I learned how to put together a newsletter and created an opt-in page. Now I'm trying to learn how to use the social media sites to attract visitors. I'm not making millions yet, but I am seeing progress and feeling much less stress! As the young college student that I am, I needed an energy boost. (I was not looking for a business.) So I tried many different wellness supplements that did not work...until 3 years ago! It was such a good product that people noticed my energy boost and asked me, and so I started to share it. I am retired 1 year ago. I live with mr wife, Mary. She is retired also. We started a web site afew years ago, but the people hurt us by not telling us what to do. It burned me and my wife out. I got into the online business and then subsequently into network marketing as a way for my Wife to stay home with our children. It all started about 10 years ago when my oldest son was born. He was born 3 months early (29 weeks gestation) and weighing just 1 lb. 12 oz. - he is a true miracle baby. Today he is a strapping 10 year old, you would never imagine where he started.

Bottom line, my wife HAD to be able to stay home to take care of him when he came home after 8 weeks in the hospital. Now with three children, it is so wonderful to have her home or available whenever they need her - and she loves it!

My online business has taken many turns during the last 10 years, and I finally feel like I have found a home in this niche - helping others succeed provides a bunch of satisfaction!

It is disheartening to work a job for 7 years only to be told that you are no longer needed. My manager has been told to cut her 1.5 million dollar budget by 5% so she decided to cut employees.

My goal in 2001 was to have my online business bringing in enough money so that I could walk away from my job in 2003. Unfortunately I have not made it to that point and it concerns me. Yes, I’ve made money but not enough to let my job go.

I read you email about how your company sent you either a text message or voicemail message informing you that they were terminating you. You also mentioned that it didn’t really bother you because you were already earning $20,000 per month. That’s were I want to be.

There is so much mess online and it has become increasingly difficult to focus on one thing. I can’t tell you the number of emails I receive asking me to join this or buy this because it will help me make money.

I don't think most people want a hand out but a hand up. So many of these gurus ask for so much money upfront but have not proven that their program will produce results. Any trained monkey can use an image editor to make changes to screen shots of earnings or put a video together and scatter some testimonials on a page to make it look like their program is a success. I don't join programs, I join people. Maybe some of them should consider a real guarantee.... $250 up front and you don't pay me another dime until you've earned your first one thousand dollars. How many do you think would do it?

Hi, Daegan. My friend was the one who introduced me to you. I am working on my own travel site and hopefully will be successful someday. I love taking risks and that's what every successful business people do. If one thing doesn't work out, then go for the next one until you find your niche. Why did I start? I became a single father of three kids in 2004. I spent a year and a half getting the kids out of foster care, seeing them 2 1/2 hours on Wednesday. We relocated in 2006 from Virginia to New Jersey when I came here to help a friend run a contracting company. We did well for the first 6 months and then things stuck and he let me go. I am very frustrated with all the "how to" being thrown at you when you surf. Who does one believe and trust. I too have been taken to the cleaners. I have no more money even if I do see one that might work. Daegan, you probably would have what will help me but I am not in the position to take advantage of it. I do have some cds of yours and it all sounds fine, I just need to find something that will help me implement things. I get totally confused with all the pay to click, adsense this, adwords that, clickbank this, google that. One is inundated with more XXX on a daily basis, more than a XXX ward would see in a week.

Hello Daegan. I am a 72 year young newbie. I initiated my internet business exploration about six months ago. I have been scammed so many times I am ashamed to admit it. I caught your website two weeks ago but because I am so skittish I didn't join your down-line right away. Instead I tuned into the teleconference with Kevin Johnson, The Automated Income System, based on your recommendation; thank you for your emails. Kevin convinced me that he is an upright honest business minded individual and not out to scam his clients or customers. In fact I believe he is committed to guiding newbies through the maize of misleading promotions like those abundantly displayed on ListJoe and others daily.

It is clear to me that marketing is important but does it really have to be so misleading or worse still down right dishonest? Example; you can earn $50,000 per month in just six months. The only way that could happen is if someone had a major down-line and started a new venture with everyone in his/her existing down-line joining the new venture almost immediately.

I keep reading, the product doesn't matter, marketing does. I guess that means the perception of the public is either gullible or stupid. I can tell you this, if you want to keep a customer or client the quality/value of the product/services must be high enough to warrant a repurchase otherwise you are out of business. I hope to get enough confidence in your system that I am willing to take a plunge. Daegin Istarted doing home base business 35 years ago and have not been to successiful, in fact I would say that I've really failed at it I've tried it all with a lot of time spent and no money to show for it. Now here we are 35 years later at the age of retirement with very little financial backup,daegan I've tried your program it seems to be a good idea but for some reason i've not been able to put it all togather in fact your's have been the best one yet and you have done everything that you said that you were going to do. I really like that unlike the other gurus, you have kept emailing me even though I have not purchased from you. I admit I am getting closer. Like Richard above, I have had my share of getting burned. I am now very skeptical as I have found others to be. I started my businesses as both a hobby and a way to give back. It just seems that no one is really giving you straight answers on how to make it. I have tried it all, everything from coaching clubs to "how to" guides with the same result. They all repeat the same info. The problem is that I have followed the advice and still no success. I know I will succeed as I have learned and made progress; and where there is a will, there is a way. I have been doing this now for about 8 months.My sales have hardly paid for my investments, but I do enjoy it. I am passionate about internet marketing, and I hope to find a mentor that will really help without bleeding me dry financially.

I music is who I am. It states the difficulty of expressions I can share to people through song. You know how sometimes you want to say something in a particular way but it just don't come out right! Well music helps me express my most deepest and true feelings. Without having to sugar coat it! And it brings all cultures together just like the good book says we should be. Now adays I surf for information like stocks, forex, commodities and the odd program that seems legit. Other than that I just go right by all the crap. I can't say that about you Daegan, or I would not be here. I have many products to sell but still have not made any sales and it pisses me off. I just don't get it.
