leads for free.
There are several ways to do this, but for
simplicity’s sake I want to give you one
simple plan you can use right now if you like.
First, if you’ve feel like you’ve been ripped
off understand you’re not alone. The
important thing to understand here is this
feeling ties into a strong negative emotion
which conjures up mental images of being
wronged.
In other words if you share your story of
being ripped off it will instantly resonate
with your target market, so use it, but use
it in a specific way.
A simple example is you could create a short
report about how you’ve been ripped off. Give
all the gruesome details, and then (this is
the important part) use the second half of
the report to give your reader advice as to
how to NOT be ripped of again.
Then what you want to do is create a lead
capture page to offer this report
with a headline which gets attention,
conjures emotion, and leads to specific
action. That specific action is the person
who see the page requests your report by
opting into your lead capture page.
Then what you do is you go out and start
advertising that report for free using free
traffic generation methods.
An important point here is to understand
you’re getting their attention with a
negative emotion, so you’d ask yourself
“Where do people who like to bitch and
complain hang out where I can get this
information in front of them for free?”
Any ideas where this could be?
I’m going to tell you with full confidence if
you follow what I’m about to say it could
lead to 10 to 20 leads per day for free
tomorrow and it’s simple.
Go to forums where network marketers and home
business entrepreneurs hang out. These are places
where people bitch all day long and you can
get access and exposure free.
You’ve now found your target market.
All you do now is sign up for several forums
in the niche. Use a short signature file
like: “If you’re been ripped off in the home
business industry you need to read this free
report: YOUR LINK”
Every time you make a post in the forums your
sig file will be displayed and people will
click your link out of curiosity and opt in
to get your free report.
That’s how to get 10 to 20 free leads from
getting ripped off in the next 24 hours.

Great idea - I am taking a online social marketing course and just recently they covered how to use “hot” subjects to get leads. Such as when someone like Daegan, Mike Dillard, or Frank Kern comes out with a new item, or make some public statement (Mike Dillard’s remarks about Twitter) you should imediately post on your blog about it, write a Hubpage or Squidoo lens about it, etc. Use their “guru status” to create traffic to your various websites and get f r e e leads.

Daegan - I have learned that you basically can acquire leads for your business two ways, you can buy them or you can create them. Buying them requires money, creating involves your time, so it comes down to which you have the most of and where you can personally be most effective. I think you are 100% correct concerning your strategy for marketing to forum members; although readers have to understand that you can’t sign up for a forum today and start pitching and spamming - you will get run off as faster than you arrived. Daegan, your suggestion of a meaningful signature file with a call to action is the solution.
