The past few days I’ve been kinda quiet
because I’ve been sick as a dog. In fact, I’ve
been so sick that I left my bachelor pad to
go stay with a family member because I didn’t
even feel well enough to take care of myself.
I didn’t even have the strength to get out of
bed to check my emails.
Well . . .
Yesterday I came home for the first time in
about a week and I noticed something very
strange. My kitchen window was wide open and
the screen had been ripped out.
Someone had broken into my home while I was
away and robbed me. I know you may think this
is a joke, I assure you it’s not. It’s also
not what I was expecting coming home from
being bed ridden.

instinct was not to go looking for what
valuables had been stolen. Instead I ran
straight to my office to see if my library
was intact. And luckily, the knowledge that

doesn’t hold much value on the street -
things like watches do.
Although all my “valuable” had been stolen,
the truth is I really didn’t care. You can
always go out and buy another watch, but you
can’t go out and buy a successful mindset.
I realized in being robbed I really lost
nothing valuable. The experience brought me
closer to what’s really important in my life,
and that’s my family and the pursuit of the
goals most important to me, and my ability to
share these experiences with you.

although I’ve been violated and stripped of a
few of my “valuable” worldly possessions I
feel richer than ever. I take great pride in
