I woke up pretty early this morning and decided to flip on the news and to my surprise I saw something outrageously amazing in a story covered, equally amazing was the reaction of the press and the experts they called in for this very unique case.
There’s an important and grounding lesson here, if you pick it up and follow suit you’ll hit your success metrics faster, if you don’t you’re going to miss out on of the largest “secrets” to success I know, use, and see used by just about every break out success in the home business industry.
The really interesting thing about what I’m about to share with you is mastery of this skill changes your life, you’ll be able to stress less, take care of the important things like your friends and family, not worry about what the economy is doing, and quite literally start turning a lot of heads, attract more winning prospects, grow teams faster, easier, and with less rejection.
In fact, I think it’s so important, whether or not you have time read this lesson now or later you should set aside sometime today to take five minutes to really go through this thoroughly on your schedule and really think deeply about how you can apply THIS to your business.
I’ve personally used this very same principle to recruit 101 people in 55 hours at $500 a piece, I’ve seen some students and colleagues uses this to make well over $200,000 in just a few days, to put it bluntly, this just works.

So there I was flipping through the channels and I stopped on a news channel about 5:30am, nothing special going on, the whether, early morning traffic reports, but then they switched to a piece about the economy and what people were doing to pick up work.
The news ran a story about a woman in Connecticut who decided to take a risk.
She had some money saved up for a down payment on a house, but instead of using it for that she decided to spend $7000 of it on billboard advertising.
That amount of money bought her one month on a roadside billboard to advertise whatever she wanted. What did she put on it?
A simple message . . .
“Hire Me”, a picture of her, and a simple website address to learn more about what she had to offer. At the time of the newscast, she had over 800 people visit her website.
They interviewed her and asked her why the heck would she do something as “seemingly crazy” as wager $7000 to put her resume on a billboard.
Her reply “You have to get your name out there. You have to be aggressive in todays market. Yeah I could have saved the money for a down payment, but what’s the use if I don’t have a job?”

The interviewer and the host of the newscast responded in a manner as if to say “she’s nut’s but we’ll see . . .”
And here’s where it got interesting.
They brought a hiring expert to express what the job market would think about her “advertising” her abilities in this way.
The expert said “We’ll if it’s done in a tasteful way we may look at it, but if it’s cheesy any employer would simply pass here up.”
Meanwhile I’m sitting there watching the news thinking “How freaking genius is this . . .“
This woman, for being aggressive, taking on a little risk to get her name out there, not only is getting the direct result of having interest parties review here resume online in her local area, she’s NOW gotten a FREE TV spot nationally, been interviewed for it, and is now getting her name in front of the entire country.
The whole time, neither the TV station or the “hiring expert” realize what she’s really done. She’s gotten free national advertising on the news.
Not bad, “I’d hire this woman in a second if I needed a full time graphic designer” (to be honest she probably doesn’t know it, but she’d make a great entrepreneur) and even though the newscast didn’t say she’d landed a job yet, I’d bet my house she does before the month is up.
What does this have to with you and your business?
Most people out of work get depressed, feel bad for themselves, and go into a completely inactive state and for it, get lost in the shuffle.
Maybe you didn’t have immediate success in your business. Did you slowly become more inactive and get down on yourself?
I know I did back at the beginning.
Why not try the opposite. Take calculated risks, be aggressive in going after your specific goals.
This woman was after a job, she devised a plan, got some advertising in her local area in a unique and direct response way (how much more direct can you be than to put on a billboard “hire me” right?) and for it she got national media attention.
(Ohh by the way, A few minutes later I flipped the channel and saw the same story running on another news station. You can’t beat that for free advertising.)
The lesson is don’t wait to be lead.
Just go. Make it happen and you WILL attract attention, you’ll be in full control, and you’ll probably create a little “success mojo” in the process.

It isn’t often that one gets the privilege of getting phone time with someone who has done Massive things in this industry. I’m not talking just made money,

And the take away I got from that is, sometimes we get caught up in the Dream and don’t get very far when all we need to do is set a few short term achievable goals and tweak them until they work well..
Once that happens, it all comes together.
And he also emphasized that consistency was key.

“How To Wake With At Least 8 Free Leads Everday . . . ”
After last weeks“Your Own Recruiting Robot Army” session I received an email from Harkon which read . . .
“What I love about your training style Daegan is you give specifics on not only what you do, but WHY you do it.

Firstly, I’d like to congratulate Harkon for his results, but in the same breath I’d like to remind you that these results are far from atypical.
There are only a few things that separated Harkon’s results from others, and that’s what I’d like to spend some time discussing the details of today, so focus in for a few . . .
The CORE reasons Harkon achieved instant results from the training he participated in last Friday night was a combination of three factors:
- He intelligently decided to take time out of his own busy schedule to learn from someone who had done what he desired to do.
This is a core characteristic shared by anyone who achieves in his or her chosen field. I have personally made it a habit to learn anything and everything that I possibly can from those who’s result I choose to emulate.
The major benefit to learning from a master at any skill is time.
Instead of spending your time, your money, and your emotional energy trying to decipher the code to improved results, you taking a HUGE shortcut.
We talk a great deal about proven systems for success and this particular one, following in the path of experience is paramount to them all.
- Harkon was willing to put his own ideas aside and simply follow the best practices of the training he took part in.
If there is one folly we all tend to make in climbing the success ladder it’s this . . .
We tend to take information from a proven source and pick and choose which pieces we want to use.
I to, at times, have trouble with this particular aspect.
When we acquire new information we rarely assimilate it wholly or fully. We tend to pick at it like a buffet table.
“I like this aspect and I’m willing to move forward with it, but this other aspect I’m not comfortable with, so I’ll put that off till later.”
The problem with NOT following totally what is shared by a master of any skill is MOST often it’s those little things we choose to put off that are the critical aspects. We can’t take a training and go half way and expect to get full results.
We can’t have it both ways. We can either go for the goal following what works or not. We don’t have the luxury to pick and choose. Harkon choose to go for it.
- He decided to let go, believe, and simply take immediate actions.
Letting go of old habits and ways of doing things is tough. We tend to want to lean on what we’ve been accustom to regardless of past results.
It’s far easier to do what’s comfortable and known than it is to try something totally different.
It’s risky to try new things. We don’t know what could happen. The fear alone is enough to stunt out efforts.
You’ve got to be willing to let go, open yourself up to new opportunities, and finally . . .
Act in the face of perceived uncertainty. Harkon did this and reaped to initial rewards of those actions quickly.
The same results are available to each and every one of us.
In entrepreneurial pursuits, set it as a precedent to acquire good information from those who have been where you want to go.
Be willing to follow that advice FULLY, and once acted upon switfly you will find yourself reaching income and business goals you once thought to be totally out of reach.

This past weekend was a cold one. It had to
be below freezing and with the wind chill it
felt even colder than that. I wanted to stay
in, believe me . . .
I was more than hesitant when I got asked
whether or not I wanted to go out for a little
trap shooting (Something I had never done
before).
But like a lot of things I get into, I let
common sense go, and just kinda said yes.
In this instance, I was happy I did. (You’ll
soon see why . . .)

About 45 minutes after accepting the invite
we were there. Somewhere out in the boondocks
of Virginia in an open field with about 6
other guys. All had shotguns in hand.
About every two seconds I heard a loud BOOM!
Immediately afterward the bright orange clay
flying through the air would shatter into
dust.
We had a couple rounds of old timers before
us. I watched, tried to pick up a few tricks,
and I gotta tell ya . . . They made it look
easy - I was ready.
We headed over to the supply room. Picked
up two rounds (25 shells per round each)
and got ready for our turn.
Bob handed me a single barrel shotgun
(heavier than I thought) and taught me the
basics of aiming. I thought “Nothing to it”
The second we stepped up to range I regretted
not wearing warmer clothes, the sweat shirt
and skull cap were ok until the wind started
to pick up.
And . . .
It felt like as soon as we stepped up to the
range the wind did nothing but get stronger
and stronger.
Kim went first. She loaded her barrel, aimed
her shot gun and yelled “PULL!” and the orange
clay went flying through the air.
BANG!
She missed . . .
Next up was me. I loaded my round, put the
butt of the shotgun up to my left check and
said to myself “here we go . .”
PULL!!!
The orange clay shattered into a thousand
pieces. “This is easy . . .”
24 rounds later I had hit 6 and missed 19.
Not as easy as I had thought . . .
I couldn’t feel my hands by the end of the
round, but I didn’t care I couldn’t wait to
do it again.
Before I could, a group of sharp shooters
stepped up for their go. It seemed like they
shattered every single one of those targets.
I yearned for a chance to redeem myself.
As we waited between the first and second
round it felt like the temperature dropped
another 15 degrees, but I didn’t care.
Let me at’em!
I stepped up to the shooting range with a
chip on my shoulder. If these old timers with
a lip full of dip could do it - it was time
to demolish my first round score.
The first shot went off BANG! A miss . . .
The second, third, and fourth shots went off
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Three hits in a row. The orange clays
shattered.
Just about that time two vets, lips full of
tobacco, noticed me hitting those suckers
with sharp shooter like precision and decided
I needed some advice.
For the next ten shots I had two coaches in
each ear telling me how to improve my aim. I
was hit and miss. I got frustrated, what I
was doing was working, but they kept telling
me to change and . . .
I tried with marginal success.
Shot 15 came up and I decided to ignore their
input and do what was working.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
I hit six targets in a row.
I ended the round with 12 of 25 targets hit
doubling my previous rounds score.
What changed?
I knew how to react. I got better at my
timing and aim.
And finally decided to stick with what
worked.
In your business. Say yes to new experiences.
Try new angles. If you’re not the best after
your first go then give it another shot.
Your reactions and results will improve.
Ignore all but your results to guide your
improvements.
There are more leads out there to set your
targets on than you’ll ever need.

Just yesterday while I was checking my emails
I got asked “Why should I trust you?”
And then a few minutes later I got a message
from a person so hungry for a change that
they were willing to put their house on the
line to join my business.
Then, not a minutes later, I got a message
from someone who was at a time on my team,
but decided to give up a little too soon, only
to tell me about the great new business they
want me to look at that launches next month.
Yet here I am, in the same business, doing
the same things, getting the same results.

If that doesn’t sum up network marketing and
the home business industry then I don’t know
what does.
At first glance these happenings appear
totally unrelated, but there is a secret
hidden behind them that if understood . . .
The ONE pink elephant in the room of the home
business industry that no one ever talks
about is that no one trusts anyone.
For the most part, most would be home
business entrepreneurs have “tried” so many
businesses that they’re in a total state of
confusion.
They feel slighted, they feel used, yet at
the same time they feel desperate to succeed.
Stop and think about for a second.
That’s a lot going on in a person’s head. A
ton of conflict, a lack of focus, lots of
fear, and mental paralysis.
It’s not that much different than a sweet
little puppy would act if you kept being nice
to him, fed him, and then immediately scolded
him for no good reason.
After a period of time the poor guy doesn’t
know what to think of you. (That’s kinda how
your prospects look at you)
What happens to network marketers over and
over again (at least in terms of their
perception)?
Someone says “Hey buddy, we got the best biz
on the planet. Join us and we’ll take care of
you.”
The would be entrepreneur says to himself:
“That guy seems nice, he’s got a great
product, he seems to have it all figured out,
and you sure can make a lot in the business.
I think I’ll give it shot.”
The entrepreneur jumps in, is told to call
leads then immediately feels the constant
cold sting of rejection (like our puppy
friend getting scolded)
Then our entreprenuer friend is told to go to
all the company gatherings where everyone’s
so happy, excited, and nice.
Back home again, our friend hits the phones
for more rejection while his pocket’s bleed
of cash with no praise and no profits.
Eventually he gives up.
What happens next?
Another guy in another opportunity of the
same nice character presents him with another
great opportunity. Our entrepreneur jumps in,
a few months later the same exact fate
befalls him.
Eventually our would be entrepreneur, get’s
hardened, disillusioned and trusts no one.
For the most, that’s what we go through,
until something changes. (What?)

Remember I told you about the three different
messages I got yesterday? Can you spot the
stages each person is in?
I can.
I can’t fault the guy that doesn’t trust me
for not trusting me. He’s probably been
burned so many times all he knows is fear and
anger spawned from past experiences, but
still the question remains . . .
Why would he be reading my emails and
responding that way?
He had to proactively opt in, become a
subscriber, read a few issues, and then start
to complain. (Hmmm . . .)
Why did the person who was once on my team
tell me about her new great opportunity?
Why was the third person dying so bad to be a
part of my team?
Understand this . . .
No matter how many times a person’s been
burned, no matter how many times a person
comes to you with a new opportunity for you
to look at, no matter how many people are
willing to mortgage their house to join in
business with you . . .
On thing remains true.
The desire for more. The fire that was
originally ignited never goes out. Once a
wealth seeker always a wealth seeker.
What changes a wealth seeker to a wealth
getter?
Instead of looking outwards for the answer.
You start to look inside and ask questions.
Then simple focus and discipline to see
through the answers you find inside.
But to be pragmatic about it. You do the
opposite of what isn’t working now.
If you’ve been in more than a few businesses,
then maybe committing to one biz for the next
five years may be your answer.
If you’ve always followed the advice of your
sponsor as doctrine, then maybe NOT doing
that anymore is the answer.
If you’ve been buying and calling leads and
it’s not working, then just maybe NOT calling
leads and instead giving this a try is the
answer:
