I’ve been found out.

Asher, who made post #36 (Click here to see),
from yesterday’s debate is a smart cookie.

He caught me red handed in my little
devious plan.

Let me start with Ahser’s comment. Aher said,
and I quote . . .

“I’m sure you’ve seen your share of hate mail
and this is just your devious plan of getting
people to respond >;)”

You’re right, and here’s why . . .

I made a conscious decision not too long ago to
change the way I communicate via email. A
“light” went off in my head.

For years I had been ranting, raving, sharing
strategies, and tips by email ONLY.

While this does a good job at transmitting
information to you I wish someone had told me
years ago I was sometimes left wondering if my
message had really gotten through to as many
people as possible.

Well, the “light” that went off showed me a
new level of to communicating my message. Taking
it from a simple lesson to be taken notes on to
a true growth experience for all involved

In school when a teacher teaches a student
can raise his or her hand and offer an opinion
or ask questions.

Email alone doesn’t allow this, but . . .

Using a blog and proactively asking you to
respond turns what was a simple passive
lesson to be read and pondered into a true and
engrossing learning experience.

In class, as a student, did a fellow class mate
ever raise their hand and share an insight or
an angle you hadn’t thought of?

What happened when they did?

Did it get you to think about the subject at
hand from a different perspective?

Did it allow you to come up with new
conclusions and or answers to the topic being
discussed that you wouldn’t have thought of
on your own?

On the other hand, did you ever take
part in the debate and after playing actively
in the situation go away with a deeper
understanding of the subject matter?

Learning is an active process.

Yes, Asher . . .

I did send yesterday’s email to get a
response. Why?

We all learn more when we all get involved.

Just today I got an email I will share later
this afternoon or maybe tomorrow from a
participant in last weeks debate who had
taken that information and recruited 4
people in the last 9 days.

Active learning => Deeper Understanding =>
More Precise Planning => Higher Probability
Of Taking Actions That Lead To Success =>
Results.

Now there will be times where I send out an
email as a lesson or a video or audio lesson
that I know will bring you success based on
my own tried and true results without starting
a conversation around it, but Asher . . .

sink in so to speak.

How To Turn Free Leads Into Recruits On Command

Let’s continue on with our discussion . . .

In the last week we’ve talked a great deal
about turning negatives into positives - how
to turn getting ripped off into an
opportunity that can bring you leads without
cost.

We’ve even taken that idea and turned it into
a system for free lead generation using
online forums. (One fast learner who’s picked
up on things fast has even taken this idea
and turned it into reality - check out
Cheree’s post #15 here.
)

Now let’s take these free leads to the bank
and turn them into recruits.

Pay close attention.

As I give you this strategy for online
recruiting please understand that there are
several systems I currently use, but I’m
not going to be revealing them all here now
because it’s not about overload. It’s about
getting results.

My aim in sharing this information is to give
you a simple system you can use to recruit
now even if you’re just getting started, so
this system I’ve chosen was chosen for a
reason - this is something everyone can do.

Let’s pick up from getting free leads using a
rip off report as bait while carrying on
conversations in online forums.

People will be requesting your free report
and will become subscribers to your
autoresponder. (If you don’t have one or
don’t know what one is here is the one I use
and have used for several years now.)

Once these leads are in your database your
next job is to carry on a conversation. Give
value. Your immediate job is NOT to recruit.

You want to give people a reason to want to
work with you first without even bringing up the
idea that it’s possible.

So if you start out with the idea of a rip
off report. Daily you should share your
story. How you were ripped off and how your
readers can avoid your mistake.

If you can turn this information into a
conversation by incorporating a blog and
having a two way discussion this will
increase your results and allow you to give
even further value.

This blog step is NOT necessary, but is
powerful to those willing to do so.

For about a month you should share daily
information to your subscriber base about how
not to get ripped off.

You should seed the idea that they can really
make money in their own business if they just
find the right one and the right person to
work with and give reasons why like:

-With the right business all the marketing is
done for you
-With the right business you’ll have a product
in demand
-With the right mentor they’ll shortcut all
the pitfalls that could occur
-Etc.

Now, you should probably designate one week
per month that you will call your promotion
week. In this week, you open the doors for
others to work with you, but only those who
meet the criteria of people you specifically
want to work with.

What this means is you should take some time
to really put down on paper what type of team
you want. What personality characteristics
will these individuals have? Etc.

In your week of promotion be sure to let them
know who should apply and why - once you know
yourself.

Of course you’re only one person so you have
to limit the number you will take in because
you as one person only have some much time to
devote and you don’t want to bring people in
that you will not be able to give the time
you think they deserve.

A safe number for this for most people is
five.

Well if you’re getting free leads from
forums, what happens when you’ve got 80 to
100 leads and you’re telling all 100 you’ve
only got 5 spaces?

You create REAL scarcity which increases value
and response. This is good.

Now, how do you promote in the week you choose
to promote?

I think the simplest way to do that is at the
end of each email you send give your leads a
call to action in the way of an email address
where they can email you to set up an
appointment.

Tell them how many appointments you are going
to take and give them simple instructions as
to what they need to provide you to actually
get that appointment.

If, for instance, you ask them to tell you
what their long term goals are in the email
you ask them to send you to request an
appointment make sure you read each
appointment request to make sure that they
do.

Anyone who does not follow your instructions
will get no response from you. Those who do -
you will set up a time to see if they are a
right fit for you in your business.

You’re interviewing them NOT the other way
around.

Think of yourself as a detective actively
looking for signs of weakness. When they show
these signs, you bail and tell them they are
not ready and you simply move on to the next
appointment.

Most home business entrepreneurs get this
backwards. They are so desperate for someone
to join their business they appear desperate.

Well, you appear desperate & you’ve given away
your control of the situation plus you
repel your future leaders.

Always remember this is YOUR business. You
fill it with ONLY the people you want to be a
part of it and reject all the rest.

Once you make recruiting about - YOU rejecting -
them you’ll have people jumping through hoops
to get involved.

Follow this simple system and you’ll be
surprised at what you can do with a few free
leads, but realize this is only ONE of many ways

If you didn’t read yesterday’s post and
follow up conversation you need to - because
today I’m going to spell out exactly how to
turn getting ripped off into free leads.

Key to this discussion is the comment made by
Cheree here, she certainly get’s the A+ for
the day.

Here’s how to turn getting ripped off into
leads for free.

There are several ways to do this, but for
simplicity’s sake I want to give you one
simple plan you can use right now if you like.

First, if you’ve feel like you’ve been ripped
off understand you’re not alone. The
important thing to understand here is this
feeling ties into a strong negative emotion
which conjures up mental images of being
wronged.

In other words if you share your story of
being ripped off it will instantly resonate
with your target market, so use it, but use
it in a specific way.

A simple example is you could create a short
report about how you’ve been ripped off. Give
all the gruesome details, and then (this is
the important part) use the second half of
the report to give your reader advice as to
how to NOT be ripped of again.

Then what you want to do is create a lead
capture page to offer this report
with a headline which gets attention,
conjures emotion, and leads to specific
action. That specific action is the person
who see the page requests your report by
opting into your lead capture page.

Then what you do is you go out and start
advertising that report for free using free
traffic generation methods.

An important point here is to understand
you’re getting their attention with a
negative emotion, so you’d ask yourself
“Where do people who like to bitch and
complain hang out where I can get this
information in front of them for free?”

Any ideas where this could be?

I’m going to tell you with full confidence if
you follow what I’m about to say it could
lead to 10 to 20 leads per day for free
tomorrow and it’s simple.

Go to forums where network marketers and home
business entrepreneurs hang out. These are places
where people bitch all day long and you can
get access and exposure free.

 You’ve now found your target market.

All you do now is sign up for several forums
in the niche. Use a short signature file
like: “If you’re been ripped off in the home
business industry you need to read this free
report: YOUR LINK”

Every time you make a post in the forums your
sig file will be displayed and people will
click your link out of curiosity and opt in
to get your free report.

That’s how to get 10 to 20 free leads from
getting ripped off in the next 24 hours.

But I think the question you may still have

Yesterday’s debate was heated and many points
of view on the concept of being ripped of
were shared - tomorrow I’ll give you my two
cent on it all, but today I want to show you
how to turn your rip off into money in your
pocket.

Pay attention . . .

First let me share a insight from yesterday
that may change your perspective on a few
things.

Yesterday’s debate was viewed over 2797 times
in less than 24 hours after sending one
simple email at 1am. (See blog stats image
below)

In that same time within 10 minutes our live
debate started with the first piece of
feedback on the blog. Within 1 day 57
people had weighed in.

People ask me all the time “Daegan, how do I
get people to pay attention to what I’m
saying if I’m just starting, if I don’t have
a big name, if I’m not making big money?”

The answer is looking right back at you right
now. (Do you see it?)

The way to get a person’s attention is to
speak their language, identify with them, to
talk about what’s on the top of their mind.
(Do you see it now?)

I want to give you one more hint . . .

You’ve Been Ripped Off Again (This Time By A Crack Head)

Have you been ripped off lately? I have and
if you follow along I’ll share all the
gruesome details so this never happens to
you.

Now, before I tell you what I’m about to tell
you understand I’m telling you this for two
reason.

First, I got a couple posts by people scared
to death about being ripped off, so I want to
open a open debate on the topic. (So make sure
you leave your gut reactions after reading.)

Second, I want you to bear in mind this story
that I’m about share with you, probably isn’t
PG, and it’s coming from a guy who’s spent
$300,000 plus or minus $30,000 on information
to make over $3,000,0000 (So it comes with
a fair amount of perspective on the situation
at hand.)

So let’s get to it.

After reading the comments on the blog here
about people scared to death about being
ripped off I was forced to ask myself “What
is getting ripped off anyways?”

Let me know if you think this is getting
ripped off, or if I’m way off base here:

A few years back as a naïve young man I decided
to begin my wealth building adventure in real
estate.

I saved my money and joined a special program
here in DC to help first time home buyers get
into their first property with only $5,000
down.

After going through the program for a year I
had saved my money and found a perfect little
four unit apartment building to start my
empire.

I still own this property to this day. Now to
the rip off part . . .

In the time that I’ve owned that property
I’ve unknowingly rented units to 3 separate
crack heads.

Now, before you call me stupid (I’ll agree
with you - I’m a little too trusting), but
let me tell you this from first hand
experience, a crack head doesn’t always come
out and just tell you they smoke rocks right
off the back.

They’re kinda sneaky.

As you would imagine, you’ve got to find out
the hard way. For me, I always think the best
of people and will deny what may appear as
less than savory.

I found out when they stopped paying rent. In
each case I ended up spending more than
$5,000 to repair the situation and spent
months trying to get them out of my property.

You’d think you’re state government would be
on your side in these issues, but alas they
are not.

Anyways . . .

Each time I rented to a crack head I felt
betrayed. I felt ripped off by them and laws
pertaining to renters rights and my stance on
the other side, but . . .

I rented to crack heads whether I knew it or
not. On some level it was always my fault for this.

So who’s to blame but dumb old me right?

Now, I’ve bought tons information products,
and my results in network marketing and
online have been far better than my real
estate adventures, and I’ve bought things
that turned out to be less than promised, but
was I ripped off?

I always come back to the idea that at the
end of the day I bought what I bought. I did
it. And had I not and continued on I wouldn’t
have the experience that I have now which I
wouldn’t trade for the world.

Have I taken a few knocks in network
marketing and online? Sure. We all do.

But my questions to you are . . .

Is that worth putting up an wall of fear
to blunt your future success?

Is buying a product online that promises
results and then you don’t get the exact same
results the person in the testimonial got
being ripped off?

Is allowing yourself to be sold into something
you shouldn’t have in retrospect being ripped
off?

What is being ripped off really?

And why are so many people so scared?

If you buy something that doesn’t make
you instantly rich by putting your credit
card on the line does that mean you’re getting
ripped off?

If so? I’ve been ripped off more than anyone
I know, but I still seemed to keep falling for
it, and for some reason my business keeps
growing.

How I Get Over 2673 Leads Per Day And You Can Too - No Bullshit

Today I want to share with you a simple
secret you can use to generate as many leads
as you so choose even if you’re sitting on
the red sand beaches of the Greek Isles as I
was last week.

Now, I know you probably are feeling a good
deal of skepticism about all this, so I’m not
the type to create a picture of massive lead
generation while hanging out in the
Mediterranean with providing proof, so let
share this . . .

Below you’ll see for the date of Nov. 10th
that 2674 leads were generated.

I was away in Greece from the 4th of November
to the 18th. So, what this proves is lead
generation is something that does NOT have to
require effort . . .

So, the BIG question is “HOW” did I do it
without being there, and how can you REALLY do
it too.

At some point in my business my ideas about
lead generation shifted, and it was this
shift that I think carries the major insight
that can help you take your own lead
generation to the next level.

When I first started online I learned about
things like safelists and traffic exchange as
a means of lead generation.

I probably gravitated towards them because
they seemed powerful, but more important they
were free and simple to understand.

So I jumped in and started clicking away in
traffic exchanges so I could earn credits to
have people see my site in exchange.

I opened a new yahoo email account and signed
up for hundreds of safelists and started
blasting out my message everyday and getting
3000+ emails a day in my new email account in
return.

I even took the safelist thing so fare as to
buy software that helped me send my stuff out
in a more organized fashion.

And . . .

Every now and then I’d get a lead, and it
was exciting every time I did.

After about six months of this I had probably
generated a little more than a hundred leads,
but when I looked at the time I spent, i.e.
six months of clicking and sending and
getting thousands of emails in return I
realized the time cost was too high.

So I began to explore new ways to get more
leads with less time expended. I looked to
things like article marketing, newsletter
marketing, and pay per click marketing.

In fact, these are some of the same lead
systems I use to this day, but . . .

Then something happened subtlety inside my
concept of what lead generation was that took
things to the next level.

This change had to do with systems.

In my yearly development before I was able to
generate 200 or more leads per day I always
tied my lead generation to immediate profit.

I had a little voice in the back of my mind
that you may have as well that said “If I
don’t make money now I’ll go broke and out of
business”

So I spent more time than I should have
trying to find the “perfect leads”.

There are some there, but today I want to
share something that will put you on a
better path than searching for perfect
leads.

At some point I can’t quite put my finger I
had a major break thru that first led to
peak lead days of 500 to 700 leads, and now
over 2673, and I’m sure in the near future
I’ll be reporting back 5,000 to 10,000 lead
days on autopilot.

The idea that laid the foundation for this
lead generation breakthrough was a two part
breakthrough . . .

1. The 80/20 rule which states 80% of your
results come from 20% of your efforts. With
truly internalizing this idea I realized
chasing the perfect lead was a limiting
activity at best, so I changed my idea from
where can I get the perfect lead to where can
I get the most leads with the least amount of
my personal effort.

This led to changes in where and how I
generated exposure.

2. Systems - Systems should be simple and do
their one unique job well on their own. Prior,
I tried to force my systems to do to much. I
wanted my lead generation systems to do more
than get leads. I wanted them to get leads
and convert them into recruits and profits as
well.

This may be a mistake you’re making now.

When I made the switch to keeping my lead
generation systems as simple systems who’s
only job was to bring leads in the door lead
flow went up.

Then I created separate systems for
recruiting and for profiting after the lead
was generated.

One system got leads, another got
conversions.

This is a subtle, but powerful mental shift.

Systems should be simple and should
accomplish one thing. Power and compounding
leverage is gained through interlinking
simple systems that accomplish their singular
job well.

If you start to think in this manner, if you
start to create simple systems that work
together but each having a singular purpose
you will prosper at a new level.

When it comes to leads . . .

If you keep your leads systems as simple lead
systems and focus your efforts on creating
them by thinking through the lens of the
80/20 principle you will be on your way to
generating thousands of leads per day.

But why question for debate today is . . .

Why Your Home Business System Will NEVER Work

There’s a couple key aspects to home business
systems that I want to make sure you
understand and can use immediately, so focus
in here for about 3 minutes and 48 seconds
while I explain.

If you “get” what I’m about to share, you’ll
never be duped into wasting money and time
only to be left frustrated, humiliated, and
broke.

Most network marketing or home business
systems are fundamentally flawed.

We tend to believe just because someone uses
the word system that it’s fail safe, but
without really knowing what a system is it’s
just a word that holds vague perceptions
without certain meaning.

So let’s get this important lesson in.

Systems are two things:

1. Leveraged, meaning they produce larger
results than immediate effort. For example
this message you’re reading is leveraged.
Why? I share this knowledge once and hit
submit and over 80,000 people get it.

2. Do not require physical force effort. This
one is a little tougher to conceptualize.

What this means is, in a REAL system you’re
not having to force yourself to work it. The
effects occur with or without you there.

For example, I recently went to Greece for two
weeks, while there I had a few days where I
generated over 2673 leads while I was touring
the Greek Islands.

I applied no force or effort. The systems
were set and played out regardless of my
personal interaction with them.

You have these two things and you have a
basic system.

From now on, when you here the word system
ask yourself whether or not it has these two
components. If you can answer yes, you do in
fact have a basic system.

If not you don’t.

Now let’s compare this to what happens when
we first start a home business.

Most often the person that brings us in say
“Don’t worry we’ve got marketing systems”.

Our immediate emotion response is relief
because we hear the word system and think
things are already set in place for our success.

The next day we sign up and get involved and
we get exposed to our new system and we are
told to go buy leads at a pre chosen vendor
and then to call and read a pre written script
to those leads.

My question to you is . . .

Is this a system?

Be Easy And Profit And Recruit Easy

There’s always the urge to try to master
everything at once. I’ve got it myself, but
it’s counter productive to your results, so
I’m going to ask that you resist that urge.

The truth is there’s an easier way and . . .

It’s simply to be easy.

Market, grow, and thrive with a light heart.

Take nothing to seriously, because it’s not.

Celebrate your successes and perceived failures
as Edison did when he failed 10,000 times
before inventing the light bulb.

Take this approach and you’ll have fun,
attract more and better people to you, and
you’ll never get down on yourself.

If any one thing kills your success it’s
getting down on yourself. So don’t, but . . .

Let me make it easy for you . . .

Get good at one way to get traffic, just
choose one.

Then get good at one way to communicate with
your prospects you’re getting from your one
traffic stream.

Then get good at one way of converting them
to recruits or profits.

And for crying out loud keep it easy and you
will succeed.

In the past month I’ve just about doubled the
conversion rate on my own lead capture page
following the exact advice I just gave you,
so let me explain . . .

Keeping things simple gets you in the
game, get’s prospects on the door step, and
then gets money in your pockets.

But you’re not going to be perfect at first,
so don’t worry . . .

Simply be easy.

Here’s how I did this with my own marketing.

First I tried one thing to improve
conversions on the page to see if it was
better than before.

When I found the winner I tried the next and
the next and the next.

None of these changes increased my success by
double in themselves, but each little
breakthrough made it easier for the next.

So . . .

Say I had a 10% conversion rate from traffic
to lead to start . . .

I tried on thing and got a 10% increase, so
now my conversion rate went up to ll% . . .

Then I tried the next and my conversion rate
when up another 30%, so now my conversion was
up to 14% overall . . .

And so on and so on.

Be easy. Get one thing right at a time and
prosper.

If you need a simple path to getting leads,

DAMMIT! I Didn’t Get My 7 Layer Burrito

Late last night, while taking a break for
fourth meal, I went to taco bell.

I’ll generally go there once a week when I’m
up late as a treat. I normally get a 7 layer
burrito and a bean burrito.

Well . . .

Last night I was excited for my late night
treat. I put in my order. Paid and then drove
away.

When I got home to eat I realized I didn’t
get my 7 layer burrito then I  got mad.

Luckily, in the background I had Dr. Maxwell
Maltz’s Psycho-Cybernetics playing and it was
at a point where he was speaking about
negative influences.

It made me stop. Why was I so disgruntled?
Why did I focus on what I didn’t have?

The rest of my order was fine . . .

For some reason it’s natural to focus on the
negative and forget all the great stuff.

I get emails all the time with people telling
me about what they don’t have, but rarely if
ever do I get a person raving and excited
about the good things going on in their life.

Why?

It’s easier to focus on what’s wrong.

I bet you may have something that’s
frustrating you right now that you just can’t
stop thinking about. Let it go . . .

For every ONE bad thing you could waste your
time on there’s about 50 fantastic things you
could get excited about.

Shift your focus there.
