Joel TherienOf note, Joel Therien, the CEO of the newly launching GVO or Global Virtual Opportunities was their to weigh in with his opinion.

These questions are mission critical because if you get even one wrong you could end up spending your time building something that doesn’t last. Click play and listen in live:

Make sure by the end you’ve written these questions down so that you can use them before joining any home based business opportunity.

Also of note I’ve been busy. Glenn and had an intense GVO brainstorm session for rolling out the promotion of GVO which you can listen in on and steal our ideas from.

Yesterday we created a new team community which you should join here.

Glenn And Me Masterminding Our Initial GVO Plans . . .

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

Glenn and I got on the line to mastermind out initial plans for getting the word out about GVO now that we’re locked in and in pre launch mode. None of these plans have anything to do paid stuff, shockingly enough, the plans are all aimed at generating an online presence using 100% free resources.

Listen in, take notes, because these are the same exact strategies you could be using in your business right now:

If you’d like to team up, we’re full go, a trial in GVO is only $1, and you can get signed up here.

Afterward, make sure you join our team community so we can ALL stay linked up up by heading over here.

Daegan

P.S. After a lot of thought I truly think that Joel’s vision, the product line GVO offers, it’s 12 year history of success, all the TOP names gurus like Kern, Filsaime, and Stephen Pierce who are involved make this a solid growth opportunity. Always best to be there early. Here’s where to lock in your position for $1.00.

The Great Twitter Debate Rages

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

I gotta be honest with you. I”m not sold on the “hype”.

And I’m not coming from a non informed position. I’ve had great friend and successful marketers lament about how great twitter is. How they’ve sent out one Tweet and generated many leads for a few seconds of effort.

I’ve bought about just about every products that’s come out on twitter to inform myself on how to use it, and how other’s are using it.

BTW: If you don’t know what twitter is, it’s kinda like this blog, except you can only type 140 characters for each message. It’s called “micro blogging”. You can sign up for an account in a few second, start following people, in an attempt to have them follow you back to increase your exposure online and open you up to new markets.

All that’s well and good, and it sells.

Anything easy money and that’s completely free to get involved in sells. So, it’s no surprise that everyone coming out with the “I’ve cracked the code to twitter marketing” products are coming out of the wood works.

They’re just being good marketers. Where ever there is great curiosity, buzz, it’s simple to understand and use, there are going to be people who HYPE it up, and sell you on it being the next best thing in the world, and they’re smart for doing it from a profit standpoint. People will buy.

The reason I haven’t said a ton about twitter and social media personally is my own personal way of thinking about business.

Me, I think in terms of leverage and stability, and although there is a great argument for leverage in the USE of twitter, I’m not sold on the long term viability of the thing.

Not that I don’t think it will be around, but I think back to Myspace, no one’s really using it anymore. Why? It got trashy, filled with spammers, and lost it’s value. Up came Facebook.

Twitter is even simpler. Who’s to say a bigger better Twitter might come along? What happens to all the time you spend on Twitter?

And specifically . . .

I’m not sold on it in the home business space. Anyone that’s got a Twitter account can attest to how much spam goes out. Many many people’s profiles are filled with nothing but buy this buy that and twitter’s cool with it.

It’s like safelists and traffic exchanges all over again = permission spam.

I’m not saying don’t use Twitter, I’m just saying don’t spend all your time trying to grow your business solely with Twitter.

There’s potential for success no doubt, but at this point I’ve only seen it in spurts or by people selling you how to use twitter to get followers.

Now, there are few great things I do like about twitter . . .

You can find good quality “lead” in a quasi targeted manner and you can develop some great good “micro” friendships there.

You can get in contact with busy professionals and have short conversations and set up appointments.

A few weeks ago, I was on the way to a private mastermind meeting and Perry Marshall (The Google Adwords Guy) was going to the same meeting I Tweeted him to see if he was gonna be there for some Bad Ass Texas BBQ at Kreutz’s (probably spelled wrong) and few minutes later he said “I’ll see ya there”

That’s what Twitter is good at. Creating and having “micro” conversations.

What I fear is people are wasting their time thinking Twitter is going to make them rich. A few leads, maybe a recruit or two, but a full scale business - No.

And it’s the time factor that’s most alarming to me.

Just last week I spoke with a home business marketer and I asked him what he was doing to promote his business. He said “he was on twitter and using traffic exchanges”

That’s just not a good use of time.

If you want to use free media to grow your business, start a blog, write articles, create videos, but twitter ain’t it (in my opinion)

Most of what I see in terms of information about how to use twitter is “scheme like” at best.

“Use this tool to auto follow people, use this other tool to auto post stuff, use this other tool to unfollow people, etc”

And that’s not business building. That’s scheming. And it’s really NOT a way to add value.

I have yet to see a guide say something like . . .

Since Twitter is micro blogging, why not search out other blogs in your niche who’s publishers have twitter accounts, follow them, check their blog for new content and when they put out a new article lead a value added comment, and then tweet the article and your comment.

Maybe even direct message the blogger to let him know about your comment and tweet about his article.

Do this consistently with 20 0r 30 bloggers, and what’s going to happen?

You’ll create real relationships . . .

Why not next start your own blog and every now and then DM the other bloggers to comment and tweet you back to their circles of influences about their comment on your blog.

Now you’re leveraging their credibility with their follower base. You’re adding value to them first, and then your asking for a little reciprocation.

What happens?

You’re circle of influences grows in a meaningful way and so does theirs. You create hundreds of links back to your sites via your comments on the other blogger’s blog and their tweets.

Over time you’ll make some friends who will comment and add value to your blog and create links back to your via twitter in their circle of influence.

See that makes sense to me.

Not auto follow, auto unfollow, and blast your ad.

Bottom line is, I’m not totally sold on twitter, and I know I’m about to hear from more than a few people who think that I’m wrong, so . . .

My advice is simple, if you do use twitter as a lead generation method, just think of how you can add true and sustainable value first.

Ohh, by the way let’s get a “micro” debate going on all this: http://twitter.com/daegan_smith

Bottom line is, always think in terms of leverage and stability and your business will grow. It’s really that simple.

If you’re unsure how to formulate a plan to build a business in leverage that becomes highly profitable and stable over time here’s how I do it every time.

The first time I figured this out, I not only created an income stream that’s still flowing strong today, but it got me out of my job, afforded me the opportunity to take my younger brother on a trip to Japan as a high school graduation gift to him, and now because I don’t work I get to go hang out at my grandparents house anytime I want.

Nothing fancy, just a stable and free lifestyle following a simple plan. Isn’t that really what all this mumbo jumbo’s about anyways?

To the Top, With Daegan Smith…

It isn’t often that one gets the privilege of getting phone time with someone who has done Massive things in this industry. I’m not talking just made money,

I’m talking about someone who has literally been a PIONEER in the MLM Industry creating marketing courses and providing training that have literally helped thousands Breakthrough in the MLM Industry, & achieving crazy results like generating up to 2500 leads PER DAY.

It was only 17 months or so ago, that I was a complete and total NOBODY, trying to figure out how to make money online, and after my initial complete and UTTER FAILURE

With Google Adwords, losing $500 in less than 14 days, I was nervous to say the least

to do it again.

And then one day, my search began and I found Daegan Smith, a guy who claimed to be the King of Never Calling a Single Lead.

I’d never heard of him before, but I liked what I saw.

Daegan, through his analytical, yet laid back style, inspired the confidence I needed

to Try Google Adwords Again.

I purchased his Internet MLM Success Course and I can tell you that it was worth every single penny, and THEN SOME.

Thanks To Daegan’s Course, I actually was able to not only do google adwords again with confidence, but I actually was generating leads on a consistent basis, and making a profit.

I Completely attribute my breakthrough with Google Adwords to Daegan’s Course.

Little Did I know that I would end up talking to him on the phone only a few months later.

Because of a close connection with my Upline, she told me to get in touch with Daegan so he could help me out with a few things. Immediately I was excited to talk to him personally because how often does that happen?

I KNOW how Valuable his time is. And at the same time, I was nervous because, lets face it, Daegan is extremely accomplished and that can be a little intimidating.

As Luck would have it, We played a little phone tag at first, but once we connected, I was in “STUDENT” Mode.

I’ve gotta say, there is a peaceful, yet professional calm about Daegan, that made me feel at ease.

And then the “GOLD” Started to flow.

It was like talking to an old friend, that truly wanted to share and help in any way he could.

He answered questions that I had held back asking other mentors, for fear of appearing “dumb” but Daegan’s disposition is that of someone who truly has a passion for marketing on the internet and a desire to help people break free in the industry.

He was just so generous, so helpful, and so genuinely interested in what was holding me back and providing stories and scenarios to make me see things from a different perspective that I was just thinking how Grateful I was to be in that moment at that time.

There were SO many takeaways I got from the conversation, but there was one little bit that

I want to share with you…

I asked him what his “Overall” goal was…

Was it to live the DREAM, the Financial Freedom, and all the stuff that comes with it…

And he simply said ” I was just trying to figure it out. How the marketing stuff on the internet

worked” and then, it started working…”

And the take away I got from that is, sometimes we get caught up in the Dream and don’t get very far when all we need to do is set a few short term achievable goals and tweak them until they work well..

Once that happens, it all comes together.

And he also emphasized that consistency was key.

I want to personally thank You Daegan, for being so extremely GENEROUS with your time. I promised I would let the world know what a COOL Guy You are, there is no doubt in my mind that you ARE A King, with a heart of Gold.

And if there is ever ever ever anything that I can do for you, you’ve just made a new connection for life.

See you At The Top Daegan :)

Barbie,

When this little email popped up in my inbox I blushed and then I smiled.

The truth is, your dreams don’t half to be grand to bring big things.

If you think of your business like a puzzle to figure out you’ve always got a new challenging opportunity to look forward to tomorrow. That’s always been my personal drive more than money.

Your expectations are not built on falsities, instead they are built on the personal challenge to figure it all out.

That struggle is enough to fill my heart. Maybe yours too . .

And you know what?  I am I pretty cool guy.

If anyone else wants to chime in on why I’m so cool I’m always happy to hear what I’ve spent my adult life learning and sharing means to you.

How To Turn Free Leads Into Recruits On Command

Monday, December 1st, 2008

Let’s continue on with our discussion . . .

In the last week we’ve talked a great deal
about turning negatives into positives - how
to turn getting ripped off into an
opportunity that can bring you leads without
cost.

We’ve even taken that idea and turned it into
a system for free lead generation using
online forums. (One fast learner who’s picked
up on things fast has even taken this idea
and turned it into reality - check out
Cheree’s post #15 here.
)

Now let’s take these free leads to the bank
and turn them into recruits.

Pay close attention.

As I give you this strategy for online
recruiting please understand that there are
several systems I currently use, but I’m
not going to be revealing them all here now
because it’s not about overload. It’s about
getting results.

My aim in sharing this information is to give
you a simple system you can use to recruit
now even if you’re just getting started, so
this system I’ve chosen was chosen for a
reason - this is something everyone can do.

Let’s pick up from getting free leads using a
rip off report as bait while carrying on
conversations in online forums.

People will be requesting your free report
and will become subscribers to your
autoresponder. (If you don’t have one or
don’t know what one is here is the one I use
and have used for several years now.)

Once these leads are in your database your
next job is to carry on a conversation. Give
value. Your immediate job is NOT to recruit.

You want to give people a reason to want to
work with you first without even bringing up the
idea that it’s possible.

So if you start out with the idea of a rip
off report. Daily you should share your
story. How you were ripped off and how your
readers can avoid your mistake.

If you can turn this information into a
conversation by incorporating a blog and
having a two way discussion this will
increase your results and allow you to give
even further value.

This blog step is NOT necessary, but is
powerful to those willing to do so.

For about a month you should share daily
information to your subscriber base about how
not to get ripped off.

You should seed the idea that they can really
make money in their own business if they just
find the right one and the right person to
work with and give reasons why like:

-With the right business all the marketing is
done for you
-With the right business you’ll have a product
in demand
-With the right mentor they’ll shortcut all
the pitfalls that could occur
-Etc.

Now, you should probably designate one week
per month that you will call your promotion
week. In this week, you open the doors for
others to work with you, but only those who
meet the criteria of people you specifically
want to work with.

What this means is you should take some time
to really put down on paper what type of team
you want. What personality characteristics
will these individuals have? Etc.

In your week of promotion be sure to let them
know who should apply and why - once you know
yourself.

Of course you’re only one person so you have
to limit the number you will take in because
you as one person only have some much time to
devote and you don’t want to bring people in
that you will not be able to give the time
you think they deserve.

A safe number for this for most people is
five.

Well if you’re getting free leads from
forums, what happens when you’ve got 80 to
100 leads and you’re telling all 100 you’ve
only got 5 spaces?

You create REAL scarcity which increases value
and response. This is good.

Now, how do you promote in the week you choose
to promote?

I think the simplest way to do that is at the
end of each email you send give your leads a
call to action in the way of an email address
where they can email you to set up an
appointment.

Tell them how many appointments you are going
to take and give them simple instructions as
to what they need to provide you to actually
get that appointment.

If, for instance, you ask them to tell you
what their long term goals are in the email
you ask them to send you to request an
appointment make sure you read each
appointment request to make sure that they
do.

Anyone who does not follow your instructions
will get no response from you. Those who do -
you will set up a time to see if they are a
right fit for you in your business.

You’re interviewing them NOT the other way
around.

Think of yourself as a detective actively
looking for signs of weakness. When they show
these signs, you bail and tell them they are
not ready and you simply move on to the next
appointment.

Most home business entrepreneurs get this
backwards. They are so desperate for someone
to join their business they appear desperate.

Well, you appear desperate & you’ve given away
your control of the situation plus you
repel your future leaders.

Always remember this is YOUR business. You
fill it with ONLY the people you want to be a
part of it and reject all the rest.

Once you make recruiting about - YOU rejecting -
them you’ll have people jumping through hoops
to get involved.

Follow this simple system and you’ll be
surprised at what you can do with a few free
leads, but realize this is only ONE of many ways
to recruit. Before I share more let me know
if you understand all that’s been discussed
here today by commenting below.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

As always, I read every single one of your
comments.

Give Them Chicken Wings And Mumbo Sauce And Double Your Profits

Monday, August 25th, 2008

What the heck is “Chicken Wings And Mumbo
Sauce?”

It’s two things, super tasty, and a way to
double your profits and recruits.

Here’s what I mean . . .

Here in Washington DC we have little
restaurants on just about every street corner
called “Carry Out’s” and sometimes, if I’m
taking a break I’ll walk down to the one
around the corner from me and get an ice tee, or
if I’m hunger, a turkey sandwich or
something.

Today I took a break and walked into my
corner “Carry Out” and I was the third person
in line.

While I waited I listened to what the other
two people in front of me ordered. They
both got some variation of “Chicken Wings And
Mumbo Sauce” - which is just fried chicken
wings drowned in sort of a sweet sauce.

I stopped to think about what people
regularly order when I go in there, and it
dawned on me that 50% of the people always
order, you guessed it, “Chicken Wings And
Mumbo Sauce”

It got me thinking about the carry out
business because, to be honest, most of them
are all about the same, and . . .

I realized if I ever wanted to run my own I’d
know exactly how to hit a home run (at least
here in DC).

See, most carry outs try to be all things to
all people, but mine would be different.

I’d call it “The King’s Chicken Wings And
Mumbo Sauce” with a little tag phrase - voted
the best chicken wings and mumbo sauce in
Washington DC.

And as a result I’d steal tons of market
share from regular old “Carry Outs” across
the city and be an instant hit.

Why?

Because I’d have the best “Chicken Wings And
Mumbo Sauce” in town of course and, for it, I’d have
people traveling great distances to get my
specialty.

If you want to double your sales in any
business, simply listen to what other peoples
customers want the most and specialize in it.

Be the best at that one thing they want the
most and your business will instantly go from
being just like the rest to something quite
spectacular and unique.

I get asked all the time “Daegan, How do I
get leads?”

The answer is, find you’re markets “Chicken
Wings And Mumbo Sauce” become the best at
providing it and your prospects will come out
of the wood works to find you.

It’s really as simple as that, but what do
you think? I’ll be reading each and every one
of your comments below, so be sure to leave
me one.

“The King Of Never Calling A Single Lead”

P.S. If you had told me two years ago I be
breaching the $100,000 a month mark in my
simple little online business I would have
laughed in your face and walked away, but
here we are and here’s how you can do it too.

Now I’ve Seen Everything . . .

Monday, July 21st, 2008

For the person who thinks they’ve seen
everything . . .

Sit back, relax, and take a gander at this
short happening and afterwards, let me know if
you’ve ever seen this one before.

Because I’d never seen anything like this . . .

So there I was, sitting in my little home
office, typing away as usual as I look at the
clock. It reads 6:41 pm. I’m late! I call Kim
and tell her I’m on the way to pick her up,
then take a quick shower, not even realizing
for a second what I’m about to witness.

30 minutes later we arrive at Duffy’s Irish
pub to meet up with a few friends. We get a
couple appetizers (Sliders - 4 small
hamburgers) before going over.

8:15 pm hits and we make our move over to the
9:30 Club here in DC. We wait what seems like
forever before I ask the dumbest question of
the night “What time is this thing gonna
start?”

“Duhh, Daegan you’re at the 9:30 Club, what
time do you think?”

I’m silenced and sit back quietly to wait for
the show to begin.

9:30 pm hits and about 8 minutes later it
all starts. The whole crew comes on stage and I
have to wipe my eyes because I don’t believe
what I’m seeing. It seemed like there were
20+ people up there.

And then a double take, “Is that what I think
it is?” I quiet my mind and focus in.

“Now I’ve seen everything” I think to myself
. . .

There, right before my eyes, was the funniest
and coolest thing I’d ever seen in my life. A
60+ year old man holding a guitar, singing,
wearing . . . a diaper.

(Here’s proof)

Man In Diaper

Now I thought this was all a gimmick, but two
hours later . . . there he was still playing
his guitar . . . fully comfortable in his
skin and his grown man diaper.

This sight made me really reflect . . .

George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic had
been “getting it funky” for over 30 years and
here they were, probably on the 2000+ show,
loving every minute of their performance just
as much as we were.

And I thought . . .

“That’s the answer isn’t it?” Do what you love,
and love what you do and neither it or you
ever get old.

So many people get into a home business to
never work again, but the best of the bunch
quickly realize that it’s not about not
working, it’s about setting a mission and
path for your life that isn’t work.

It’s a mission.

George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic’s
mission is “get funky” and put on a good
show. It’s timeless. All members of the band
were definitely in their twilight years, but
you’d never know by the way they performed.

What’s your mission? Once you’ve got it. No
longer are you working for “the man” you’re
living your message vibrantly playing at what
others would call work, and who knows . . .

Maybe 30 years from now, you’ll feel so
comfortable and young doing it, you’ll wake up
one day and strap on an old man (or woman)
diaper and play your heart out like my new
friend. (Or maybe not)

Either way, set your path by your mission,
and like the wise “George Clinton and crew”
never a day again in your life will you work.

If your mission is anything like mine -
living and creating life without limit across
the globe, maybe this will help you on your
path. Go here and play hard . . .

P.S. What if you NEVER had to worry about
money again? What would you do? Who would you
be? How would you live? Live from there now,
and then walk the path and here’s your free
blueprint.

How Much Is Each Recruit Really Worth?

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

I was conducting the regular live weekly
power prospecting system basic training call
last night and while I discussing the details
of one of my favorite marketing techniques -
newsletter marketing & one bright student made
a comment that you need to hear.

She said . . .

“After doing newsletter marketing your way I
ended up doing it at a profit for the first
time, but I only made $10″

And she didn’t say it full of excitement, so
I stopped the call right there to explain
something incredibly important to everyone on
the line that I’m going to explain to you
right now.

The internet has many people hypnotized. Many
new marketers think that unless they make a
killing in ever advertising campaign they’re
doing something wrong when, in fact, they
could be creating huge success without even
knowing it.

Here’s what I mean.

In any business the most expensive portion is
the acquisition cost of a new customer. In
network marketing this correlates to the
acquisition cost of a recruit.

Many of the best marketers in the world will
actually go deep in the whole to acquire a
new customer because they know something that
the general public doesn’t.

If they can literally buy a customer and have
systems in place to convert a portion of
those customer into multiple purchase buyers
they will overcome the initial cost of
acquisition and still create great profit
margin.

For instance, a typical situation may be that
the company has a front end product that cost
$97, but on average it cost them $150 to get
each one of those $97 customers, so they are
actually paying $53 per customer on the front
end.

But they know on the backend over the course of
a year each new customer they create is worth
on average $300 so paying $53 to acquire a
customer is actually a smart move over time
because in the end they actually make $150
over time.

The key is having systems in place and
knowing how to do the math properly to know
what’s called the “life time value of a
customer”.

Many more multi million dollar business are
built this way than you know. The money
is not on the front end it’s extracted
over time.

In network marketing you would equate this
situation to the acquisition of a new
recruit.

The money you really earn, in most
situations, is not on the initial fast start
that’s paid out immediately, but in the
duplication of a subset of those you recruit
over the course of time.

Again systems are key to this process.

I say all this to say to you . . .

If you are making a profit on the initial
acquisition of a recruit or customer jump for
joy because if you just keep that system
rolling and a least breaking even you’ve got
a priceless vehicle for wealth that you may
not even be aware of.

It doesn’t matter if that income is $10 or
$100 or $0.01 on the front, if you’re in the
green you keep that sucker running as long as
you can and you will create a thriving
organization.

Where others go wrong both in business and
network marketing is not understand the power
of having a backend duplication or profit
system and simply try to survive on what they
make on the front end.

This is much more risky than losing money on
the front and having a reliable system for
backend conversions, but on the surface it
would appear the opposite.

Remember this.

Work just hard enough to break even on the
front end. Keep the recruits coming, and put
all you got into creating and using
duplicable systems on the back end and it’s
only a matter of time before you’re rolling
in the dough.

P.S. 429+ personal push button recruits and
an autopilot downline of over 7071+ means two
things what I’m doing works like crazy and

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Some people believe that network marketing
really doesn’t work. To put it lightly,
they’re WRONG. I am going to take the next

marketing will always work so that the next
time someone takes the time to tell you that
network marketing doesn’t work you explain to
them how misinformed they truly are.

Here is why Network Marketing will ALWAYS
work:

Even in a strong economy people will ALWAYS
need supplemental income:

The truth is most people live pay check to
pay check. They aren’t able to buy the nice
things that they want for themselves and
their families. There is and will always be a
constant DEMAND for more money. Network
marketing is a simple, part time and low risk
way for full time workers to fill this need.
To put it simply, as long as people need
money network marketing will ALWAYS be there
to fill that need.

People will ALWAYS want freedom from jobs
they don’t enjoy:

Despite what you may think, there are people
out there that truly don’t enjoy their job.
They go to work because they have to and not
because they want to. Network marketing
offers a promise of true financia1 freed0m.
The ability to leave the 9 to 5 working
world. This freedom will ALWAYS be to
tempting to pass up.

People will ALWAYS want more free time to do
with as they please:

Did you know in a past poll conducted by
Money magazine that 64% of American men and
68% of American women polled said that if
they had a choice between more money and more
time off they would choose the time? People
covet their free time. Network marketing
offers the promise of w0rking from h0me and
making your own hours. Again, the opportunity
to create free time will ALWAYS draw people
to network marketing.

Conclusion:

As long as people crave time, money and
freedom network marketing will ALWAYS exist.

The next time that someone tries to tell you
that network marketing doesn’t work ask your
accuser 1 of 3 questions:

Do you want more money?

Do you want freedom from your job?

Do you want more time?

I guarantee they will answer yes to one of
these questions. When they do they will have
proved exactly why network marketing will
always work!
