These were lessons … the lessons I got were.. …. grasp change.. be open to learning new things… get rid of ego in the pursuit of learning… and have fun while doing it.
I see it as more than bridging transgenerational boundaries… there were some great lessons in there.
I think they Rocked the house … God’s house. They gave it their best while learning something new with no fear or ego to stop them from trying to learn something new and completely foreign to them..
And it was not easy for them … and they didn’t stop trying to better themselves at what they were learning to be better at.
The grace , the poise .. they brought their unique skill sets to the table… their past professionalism….. and did not worry what the end result of it would be..
The show had to go on in spite of what it was they learned… It was show time.
Then they just did the best they could…

Deagan, I read a lot of your stuff and it is ususally right on but this video was not at all funny, it made no sense in that a lot of the stuff the ‘choir’ was saying I couldn’t understand. I think you lost on this one man.

If you’re not familiar with the hip hop songs they were doing the comedy might be lost on ya. The viral aspect here is this video has been viewed almost 1,000,000 so far just for being 5 minutes of funny. Sometimes we work hard to get our message right when maybe just a little humor can get us a heck of a lot of viral exposure.

It wasn’t the funniest video, but it was entertaining.
Even more important it kept your attention to the end,
at which time they promoted their bussines, which is why the
clip was made with that said they are laughing all the way
to the bank.

No way, they let these old people sing this stuff. Who put them up to this? It’s just not right, I mean I am laughing my head off but it’s just not right. The choir director was more into it then the rest of them. Hilarious! I bet they didn’t even hear the original song except the choir director maybe.

Well, Daegan, That was deffinately differant. Ther is a view in it as you stated. I do not know if is what you are thinking. All of the singers are, shall we say of the upper age bracket. They tried and succeeded to get to the finals or whatever. The message I get is to never give up even if it is a bit strange and unorthodox. I guess that is it. Have a good one. PHS

Daegan, I thought it was great. Guess it depends on your attitude as to what your opinion is to this video. I agree with all of the positive responses and you others should try watching the video again from the beginning, listening to the first phrase spoken by the choir director.
I wouldn’t doubt that God’s looking down and smiling now.
