More Burning Question Answered . . .

Happy Monday Daegan!

Let’s get right into it!

What do you see as the best way to implement
online principles to an established network
marketing company that is strong in the
offline world, but is slow to fully embrace
the potential of online promotion?

This company has a strong product line and
much profit can be made from just selling the
products without even using the leverage of
the network marketing model. There are two
schools of thought: one is to promote the
product and then show people the business and
the other is to lead with the business with
product usage being part of developing the
business.

Roger,

Great questions!

In your question, it’s funny, because you
actually started to answer yourself.

But here’s the skinny.

If you’re talking about network marketing and
growing your offline business using online
methods then we have two scenarios to discuss
as you’ve alluded to above.

Scenario #1: Selling Product For Profit

Scenario #2: Selling Business Opportunity

We’ll start with the first scenario first.

And well, which way you choose to go in your
marketing is contingent on your goals.

I will say this though . . .

If you can make a significant profit from
simply retailing your product online and this
is your chosen path to freedom with your
company then you have a world of options at
your fingertips.

Why?

Well you can create a front end information
product dealing with a solution that your
company’s product solves and then backend
your product through email and direct mail
promotions to your subsequent customer list
that you create.

Or  . . .

If the market demand is large enough online
you can create a full scale search engine
optimized website and market your product
through the natural search engine listings.

Neither of these options is exclusive so you
could use both models in your marketing and
promotion.

Both will work if there is significant demand
in your chosen niche.

But IMPORTANT to note . . .

Because you are retailing product your focus
in not on duplication so you will have the
luxury of being more intricate in your
marketing, so you have more freedom in this
scenario to try novel marketing methods.

Now let’s talk about scenario #2 . . .

Selling Business Opportunity For
Organizational Growth

If you want to create organization growth
online for your offline company I would
suggest that you approach the task with this
thought in mind.

“The more steps I add the harder it’s going to
be to duplicate.”

You’re goal should be to create a simple
marketing system that your team members can
plug into the day they begin marketing with
you.

So what I would suggest you do is . . .

Create a lead capture page

Create an auto responder follow up series

Create a sales page focusing on your business
opportunity

Start marketing and testing these things for
yourself until you can create some measurable
and consistent marketing metrics on all
levels.

Metrics:

Traffic To Lead Conversion
Lead To Sign Up Conversion

Once you are satisfied with these metrics you
should look into a website replication
software application to make the duplication
of your sale system as simple as possible.

From there you will be able to feel out the
rest of the process as to what your growing
team will need for overall success.

The bottom line is you should choose which
approach will work best for you in your
business given your individual goals and then
take note and apply the principles above.

To the top,
