I very much agree, I have been online marketing now for about a year now and I'm doing ok, but it was not always like this. When I first started I did not even know how to copy & paste and I struggled along and told myself it is all a part of learning how to market.

I thank god for giving me the strength not to quit. My point is that you will have to take the bad along with the good and if you buy a product that does not quite work well for you then bite your tongue and move forward.

Considerable responsibility for being "ripped off" lies with ourselves. If we'd just read what is said instead of what we want it to be saying we'd be "ripped off" less often.
If a promotion says, "I earned $xxxxxxxx over night, it might be completely accurate. Nothing there says that you or I can do the samething because we probably do not have the assets the promoter has.

What the world needs is a copyreading program.

D, I consider the products I have purchased my ongoing college education. I am not a business person or marketer by trade. Far from it. I got something out of all the products that I purchased. Some were worse than other but I still gleaned something out of the majority of them. The fault lies within if I don't put that good information to use by taking action and following through on what I have been taught through these products. I am to blame for that.

The whole IM arena presents itself as an easy way to make 6 or 7 figures. However, it takes a lot of learning, doing, testing, retesting, doing etc....blah blah it goes on. When you follow throough on the first thing, it makes the second and subsequent products/business venture that much easier. Moral of the story...

Be Bold & Brave... Take the action necessary to become successful. You don't have to be perfect! You need to get something started.

Daegan,

I have been with you for several months and enjoy your writings and videos. They supply me with a great deal of information and stimulate ideas as I learn more about internet marketing. I also appreciate that fact that you opened up this forum. Having a place to share our collective experiences is a great help and will only assist with forward momentum. After all, just think of the initial motivation for seeking any "Daegan Smith" material. We all need to keep that in perspective.

Thanks to Juniques, Chuck, James, Sam and Lori for their comments. I concur with you for the lost part. To Jimmie, thanks for the link to Ripoff Report. Folks need to explore that and other sources.

I have been involved in Network Marketing & MLM in one form or another since the mid 80's. There's alot that can be said both pro & con, but we must realize that marketing is a "campaign." We all need to be careful and aware of what we hear and read. Some things are said strictly to pull you in based on what the advertiser thinks their audience wants. Then there are others that don't give enough information, (this should cause us to question)until after we submit payment info. The main point that I want to make here is, Always question opportunities that require an investment, especially those that appear to be focused on recruiting. You will understand more of "why" as you investigate. Key hear is always investigate before you invest. Our current climate has reinforced that need, even though it's still not a solid, ironclad guarantee.

The subject of "Getting Ripped Off" has stirred allot of emotion here that's healthy as long as we learn something from it and do something positive with that experience. (Make a note and move on).
Don't let those experiences stop you from moving forward by creating fear. Take the fear and the experience with you as you continue your journey.

Thanks for the info and the opportunity.

getting ripped off is when that same "crack head" comes in to your home, lies to you, steals your stuff and smiles in your face, (and then some). Been there!!! Pissed me the **** off!! Lessons learned ultimately...so, for the price I had to pay, I learned what was invaluable, so NOTHING is a rip off if you keep it all in the right perspective...sum it up...LIVE & LEARN, and know that EVERYTING (truly) HAPPENS FOR A REASON!! I've been through way too much to mention here, but I am grateful for a God that takes our PERCEIVED (key word) failures and turns them into victories, IF, we "...count it all joy..." trusting that our creator has our best interest at heart and we will know and experience that, IF, we believe!!! PERSPECTIVE IS KEY

See this is a tricky question in the belief thatif you buy something or you sell something. In your case it was selling something of value to someone else. You were ripped off by letting someone you didnt believe to be a bad person live in your building and knowingly not pay for it and not doing more to get that person out. Then you knowingly let someone rent that you either knew was suspicious or felt that person was you ripped yourself off on that one. As far as your CD it was great but a little hard to understand for me anyway. People get ripped off everyday but it depends on the definition to that person that feels they got ripped off. So until next time thanx for the good info that you do give and sell.
